In my days. 30 years ago, charsiew was thinly sliced, nowadays all thick cut. Any reason for this except no knife skills or lazy? Seriously the charsiew looks good, another wantan mee that has this nice charsiew is in Uptown, SK2 restoran.

I only can think of two reason

1. Texture - thicker means inside is soft. If thinly slice it will be harder if overcooked
2. Just to be different and look T20 so people can pay more
3. Lazy haha
