Hi, would like to ask few things on Cukai Tanah:

1. I found out that I have to pay Cukai Tanah for a recently purchased house. Is it true that I have pay the Cukai Tanah even though it is still under construction and I have not received the key from the developer yet?

2. The house is Freehold. However, at the Cukai Tanah states it is HSD Hakmilik Sementara Daftar. Any idea why?

3. My existing house has been billed with only RM12 Cukai Tanah for years. However, its Cukai Tanah this year has increased to RM48, which is the same amount as the Cukai Tanah as my new house. Does buying a second house cause this increase?

3. I believe the rates are adjusted according due to inflation etc.
