QUOTE(jetzxp @ Feb 26 2024, 11:09 AM) Not really imo. HDR for movies and game mode is a lot dimmer if compare to X90L. I never really consider X90 series to have any significant upgrade not until X90L came out. Yes I own the 2020 X90H.Link X90L is just RM1k more and you probably can get it lower than that during those lazbonus 3.3, 4.4 sale. Link 2 |

QUOTE(jetzxp @ Feb 26 2024, 11:48 AM) Replaced main board once under Sony due to software glitch but its been serving me well. No problems or whatever since. PQ is good.QUOTE(lamusiqa @ Feb 27 2024, 11:00 AM) You can get a Samsung S95B QD-OLED TV for RM4599 or a Panasonic JZ1000 OLED TV for RM4988 on Shopee. Both also 55 inch. Just gotten the S95B for RM4.3k during 2.2. deal last month. I would say it's the best bang for the buck for a 55" QD-OLED tv. This TV was released late on Nov 2022 meaning most owners unit would still be under 2 years Samsung warranty. So getting parts during this period is still relatively easy I reckon. JZ1000 (wRGB OLED) is great TV for the year but it was released on 2021 so it's coming to 2.5 years+ already. I am not sure getting parts would be easy though if the TV has problems. |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Feb 27 2024, 02:41 PM) Seems like Sony TV so many QC issue eh? I don't think it's specific to just one brand. It can happen to any TV. Just last year only i already have 4 friends complaint Sony TV just blackout without any error within 1-2 years usage End up mainboard replace (lucky them all within warranty period). Just don't expect it to last like 8-10 years like it used to be. This post has been edited by Kahlamx: Feb 27 2024, 03:27 PM |

QUOTE(jetzxp @ Feb 27 2024, 10:15 AM) The X85L comes with X1 and not XR and 55" only 24 dimming zones which is quite low. Even X90H already came with X1 and 32 dimming zones lol.If you really insist on FALD LED tv, X90L is the better buy to be honest. This post has been edited by Kahlamx: Feb 27 2024, 03:48 PM |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Feb 27 2024, 08:35 PM) i think no harm getting high end older TV, even my LG C9 is still better than most mid range TV today, changed panel mid 2022 due to burned edge so panel is still new. if no more parts but still under warranty, normally they will give u new model TV lol. Not sure how manufacturer warranty works, but if u buy from like senq or harvey, if their warranty, they will let u get new TV based on the insured amount(normally is retail price before discount). LG C9 is still not bad even by today's standard. 4K 120hz VRR no problem. I think electronics and electrical appliances nowadays, i would pay for the extra warranty, like my C9 already kenak panel burn edge after the 2 years manufacturer warranty. not to say my dyson v11 already changed body twice, bought extra 3years warranty Ya, it is best to get the extra warranty cause to replace the OLED panel outside warranty period ain't cheap. I am glad that the new panel works out well for you. QUOTE(jetzxp @ Feb 27 2024, 09:07 PM) For LG OLED, C2 or C3 is the minimum. A and B series often come with washed down specs and poor HDR brightness. That A2 does not have HDMI 2.1, VRR and only support 60hz only. Not a great choice to pair with PS5. |
