Why need to cancel if company's name? Can always bring customers to eat and drink at club house and play golf. Later customer agree to give contract millions of RM.

That's how they make money, and last time the economy was better or didn't have those gym/swimming facilities, so they get this kind of membership. But now fewer people play golf, and many condos have great facilities.

I'm stuck with Bukit Jalil (excluding Golf)... which dk what to do with it. Just pay every year and didnt go.

Yes, nowadays can only direct sell or transfer membership to others. Cannot sell back to the club, few years back my father also loss interest in golf and luckily few Korean guys interested and quickly sell to 1 of them.

In australia, people play golf like badminton, its a poor man's sports, I see so many public golf courses in Msia.

When I went there to study, my house mate so happy every day play golf because he told me public golf course there charge like $10 just to play.

the one in Bukit Jambul one right, membership should not that hard to sell, have to go to the club, usually the workers there will know whose interested of the membership, or ask other club members

actually your company can stop paying maintenance fee then it will automatically cancel right but of course cant get back deposit

if you are frequent in that golf club together with your golf mates then it MIGHT worth getting it. the golf fees will be very low if not free.
eg. saujana golf course need rm700 per month but you get to play for free

Used to have Sunway Lagoon Club membership also same case can't give it up. End up just transfer free to a random fella after advertise on mudah

depends. Kota kemuning buy from club can be 100k if buy third party 40k like that. Rahman putra i sold also about 20k.

It's actually pretty common with all other sports clubs on the island such as CRC, CSC & PSC. You want out, find someone else to carry your baggage but usually these clubs have a notice board of sort to let you advertise your intention to offload the membership.

PGC is quite open so just drop by, look around & see if there's such a board there. The club is quite delapidated though & IINM, it's currently owned by Japanese owner.

Ts, just a heads up unless the membership is in very high demand with long waiting list.

The company shouldn't expect to get back the full membership fee from selling. If can get 2/3 will be considered very good.

I remember when selling both mine and my dad i got maybe 1/3 non golf while my dad got half

Main objective after all is just to get rid of the membership and avoid paying monthly fees especially when every year the club for me will increase fee.

While some may consider it small matter but like ts mentioned, you susah payah build up reputation some more membership is under company's name.

The last thing u want is to let such a trivial matter cost u business opportunities.

Sorry didn't notice your post, unfortunately this is how the clubs operate. No way to cancel only transfer membership.

Only consolation is that by transferring you can recover some of the membership fees.
