Wana ask, whats the common SOP right now for repairing phone that is under warranty..

I m currently using ASUS rog phone, and recently found out that for Asus service center, i need to submit my phone to them for diagnosis/repair.

I m quite reluctant to submit my phone to them, cause as you all know, phone = wallet / identity already. Prefer repair on the spot or buka in front of me.

My alternative is to reset phone to factory setup, but then i need to do hell lots of backup, and look for alternative phone, quite troublesome actually. Thanks to technology, i m too relied to my phone already ( touch n go wallet, banking app etc. )

whats your thought on this...

backup your data, send in for SC check and rectify/replace parts

come back when SC calls to pickup phone

No matter what you should backup before any repair, anything can happen during the work.

so how do you go around with your personal stuffs in the phone i.e. pictures, ewallet, etc. ? Will reset to factory settings?

samsung phones have service mode, not sure for other phones

i'd buy a new phone right now, and resell the old 1 once i get it back

or another way would be buying a cheapo 2nd phone to use for the time being and resell it off later

Log out e-wallet. Some photo app have a secure folder feature. however e-wallet need a pin for transactio, and I don't think transaction history can be delete.
