Ketua Perangkawan, Datuk Seri Mohd. Uzir Mahidin berkata, kira-kira 66.7 peratus tenaga kerja Malaysia yang bekerja di Singapura menerima gaji kasar di antara SGD1,500 (RM5,330) hingga SGD3,599 (RM12,780) sebulan dan 18.5 peratus menerima gaji di antara SGD3,600 (RM12,800) hingga SGD9,999 (RM35,530).

Katanya, bagi mereka yang bekerja di Brunei pula, 41.3 peratus menerima gaji kasar bulanan di antara BND1,000 (RM3,550) hingga BND3,000 (RM10,660) dan 43.5 peratus lagi menerima pendapatan sekitar BND3,001 (RM10,670) hingga BND10,000 (RM35,550).

Tambah Mohd.

– KOSMO! ONLINE

Work as Houseman in SG already SGD 5k-7.1k easy. Work houseman in Malaysia fixed RM 4.6k.

In the end those earning in SGD and spending in Malaysia contributes more to the economy than that work and earn here.

SG and Malaysia is actually one giant economic region sharing a common workforce pool.

In terms of hiring, Malaysians working in SG are more like someone from Hunter Valley working in Sydney (small city working in big city).

Politically we are two countries but socially we are actually one workforce centered around the metropolitan (SG)

In singapore you can rely on the efficient buses, trains literally from the moment you step out of ur hdb to wherever youre destination is. Here even in kl most residential areas need to take grab/car to get to the nearest lrt/mrt stations. Buses are just too infrequent and too crowded

Malaysia can implement tax to tax all excess income not otherwise already tax’ed by SG. This should be assessed in ringgit term as well

Why la?
Wanna go work there or don't want, it's a choice.
Brunei sustain by oil
Sg sustain by hardworking human

MY - oil also kenot, human also kenot.
Bukan nak caci negara sendiri but it's the fact (oil+human) also not workable in our country.

Malaysia can implement tax to tax all excess income not otherwise already tax’ed by SG. This should be assessed in ringgit term as well
*
Cant, it will conflict with international law. It can only applicable on those who working just in domestic.

Why la?
Wanna go work there or don't want, it's a choice.
Brunei sustain by oil
Sg sustain by hardworking human

MY - oil also kenot, human also kenot.
Bukan nak caci negara sendiri but it's the fact (oil+human) also not workable in our country.

If oil only reserve for S&S then can see prospect in KK and Kuching. Twin tower, MRT, TRX, 118 all skyscraper there.

Actually possible. Tax treaty is only intended to avoid double tax. There is no international law to avoid excess income tax. Thats why big countries like china and US practice global tax.

However bolehland adopts territorial tax system ie it will only tax bolehand income. To tax foreign income, this will need to shift system which is quite drastic. Something similar like beps 2.0 already making waves globally and not easy to implement.

If bolehand move to global tax, this will only result in more emigration to sinkie and other richer countries. not to mention ineffective.

The policy set by pm4 really hit hard the growth of S&S especially the Cabotage Laws which restricted only Peninsular ship to ship goods to East Malaysia. It starts from 1980 by our longest service PM (PM4) and ended in 2017, however there are debate that cabotage is still continue till 2022.

If excess tax, not only emigration, but throw passport as well....as if shrinking population is not enough trouble....

not my expectation. since ktards recommend Malaysians go work in SG to earn big salary. but this statistics say otherwise.
*
u have to see if those earning big salary is already earning big salary in malaysia or not ma. if not in your expectation how you justify the jump in salary?

i guess those that earn that much can only earn the same range in malaysia. so it is still better for them to go over there.

any 30% saving is = to their gross salary here.

Quality of life is kind of miserable in my view. I work there for 2 years for a project and if given a chance, Malaysia is better anyway provided you are pulling Atleast 13k nett

you worked in the wrong company liao. my gf in mnc company, and me in foreign owned company never faced any sg colleague that are mean to malaysian before...

and u earn13k and if u value privacy u rent a studio and live by urself la, why still share room.

mine is totally diffent view from urs. i live comfortably here with my gf even the rent is very expensive but we have our own rental house... it was worth it. and our saving in 2 years already enuf to pay off half of our properly loan in rawang. working in malaysia can never achieve that...

Agree. In the MNC Fintech I'm at, racism, harassment etc. are non-existent. Else, once reported, business conduct office will come down hard on you.
I doubt anybody would jeopardize their career over such petty stuffs when even the most junior analyst is drawing >$100K/yr (include bonuses)
Heck, you can come in with pink hair and see-through singlet, and nobody would say you're gay.. but of course the question would be are you dressed appropriately for work biggrin.gif

Ketua Perangkawan, Datuk Seri Mohd. Uzir Mahidin berkata, kira-kira 66.7 peratus tenaga kerja Malaysia yang bekerja di Singapura menerima gaji kasar di antara SGD1,500 (RM5,330) hingga SGD3,599 (RM12,780) sebulan dan 18.5 peratus menerima gaji di antara SGD3,600 (RM12,800) hingga SGD9,999 (RM35,530).

To summarize :
SGD$1,500 - SGD$3,600 = 66.7%
SGD$3,600 - SGD$9,999 = 18.5%

The remaining 14% must be earning more than SGD $10,000 or less than SGD $1,500
