Ever since they moved Sony HQ to San Francisco, the direction the company has taken in general has been rather woke af.

Every single AAA game they fund or make has elements of it, and if you wanna go down a rabbit hole, just google Sweet Baby (the company they contract to infuse ESG/DEI/wokeness into their games)

If a game involves Sweet Baby, it will be a pozz infested load of woke garbage.

I'm still not done with my PS4

last time no fast internet, no online shopping etc
so have to rely on physical store.

now got online store, can buy/import from SG, game also digital.

Meanwhile nintendo.....

in other words game nowdays

bunch of milking and remake then sequel shet yet another remastered cash cow grab

PS1 - 1994 (6 years)
PS2 - 2000 (6 years)
PS3 - 2006 (7 years)
PS4 - 2013 (7 years)
PS5 - 2020 + 7 years

Maybe PS6 is 2027 or 2028 depending on next technology rapid growth or slow

So fast? Shouldnt it be around 8 years?

So others are just remastered/remakes from PS4?
And then others are just timed exclusive, later will port to PC and other platforms, not to mention backward compatible to PS4?

Glad i am still loyal with my aging Jet Engined powered PS4 Pro bought in 2017.

PS - but i really wanted to play PS5-only Demon’s Soul as i have not played it on PS3 previously. I’m Soulbourne games die hard fan

Maybe virtual gaming, like PSVR but more advance. I don't know. Sometimes the technology advancements is weird.

I don't think log on into virtual space like Ready Player 1 can be achieve in 10 years.

PS5 were in short supply in their first few years, at a time when the demand was hot

Now they have their units in abundance, but the hype has died down and there are little AAA titles to go with it

Mobile gaming also took a lot of their market share. Sony fumbled this big time

The reason PS5 more popular not bcoz online shopping.
Online shopping irrelevant when compare PS5 or Xbox..

It's about warranty, after market service & exclusive games.

my reply is regarding PS2 vs Xbox (original).
last time, only can buy from physical store so i go with PS2.

and coming back to online shopping, i tried to preorder PS5 since day one.
preorder online. no stock until i give up and bought XSX from physical store.

It's about warranty, after market service & exclusive games. - i agree.

it should. ps5 is simply not powerful enough, have to choose performance mode always to make it more playable with reduced graphics.
