Hello people
I have a RTX4080 and the stock 3xPCIE to VHPWR adapter is becoming loose (side panel of case is pushing and bending the cables), it is causing the GPU to crash sometimes

Do you know which shop I can buy a replacement PCIE to VHPWR adapter?

Check your brand and the distributor. Ask them if they can get you replacement or not.

What is your power supply brand and model? They might sell direct 12VHPWR cable too. I can't guarantee if it voids warranty or not.

Rather pay for Lian Li Strimer than that overpriced cable. With chance of fire hazard.

Get this one instead.

Bare in mind using third party cables may void warranty if it melts. Double check with your graphic card manufacturer first before buying.

Lian Li SP850 850W 80 Plus Gold

when I bought this PSU last year, the website for this PSU didn't even mention VHPWR , but now when I checked it, they say that they have a 2xPCIE to VHPWR cable as an 'upgrade' ... are there shops around KL which stock this cable?

I just linked the adapter from the post above you. Once again, check with your graphic card manufacturer first before buying. You might have to get replacement for your broken official adapter if they don't allow third party.

in my case, having a right angle connector is more important than having RGB on the cables , my case does not even have a window and there is not alot of space between the GPU and the side panel
if I get a replacement stock adapter... the same thing will happen again, unless they changed the design/manufacturing to make it stronger

Yeah, design flaw. They made the new 12V-2X6 connector for recent graphic cards. It is still backward compatible with current connectors.

Corsair sells 180 angled adapter too.

Compatibility list:

Another option is upgrade to a fat PC case. Cases with maybe...185mm or more CPU cooler clearance has the room for 12VHPWR connector to bend at optimal distance.

Some examples:

Additional:
Lian Li Lancool III - 187mm
Corsair 7000D - 190mm

That 180 degree adapter is good, it can fit my GPU (beause the clip direction is correct) and maybe it will solve my problem
then it will be PSU -> 3XPCIE cables -> 3xPCIE to VHPWR adapter (suspect is problem) -> 180° adapter ->GPU

but first I want to see if I can buy a cable which is direct from PSU to VHPWR
so it will be like this: PSU -> VHPWR cable -> 180° adapter -> GPU

or an angled PCIE to VHPWR adapter
PSU->PCIE cables -> angled PCIE to VHPWR adapter -> GPU

TG Wireview https://www.thermal-grizzly.com/en/wire-view-gpu/s-tg-wv-h1n is a bit more safer as it does real time monitor of power draw so it can alert you if the connection is unsecured and it drawing too much power (causing the meltdown).

PS For now stay away from Cablemod adaptors whatever form.

And deal with AMD blips like unstable drivers and bugs. Have fun.

Bare in mind I have RX 6800 and experience isn't great.

Oddly I had Radeons way back when they were ATI (3650 & 5570) but didnt have much issues, things just ran as normal AFAIK. Only the odd games I couldnt play on the Radeon also could not play on a GT430 so I cant really fault the Radeon card for it. LOL!

I had to search and tune to get it stable. It doesn't even like my Asus ROG Strix Z690-A D4. Gotta disable some hardware setting on the board. Nvidia has no problems with my board.

I think I will pay them a visit tomorrow

I hope that they can also do computer service, because I am not sure the adapter will fit in my computer... I hope they can open my computer and try to install the adapter for me, and tell me if it is going to fit or not

if you dont mind, u can order custom cable (psu to gpu, not extension) from taobao (cheaper than cablemod by miles)

since 4080 is not power hungry as 4090, so to me its very safe

* im using custom 12vhpwr cable too, and also lian li PSU
* you need to tell the modder clearly what psu brand n model u r using
* u can request any length of the cable u wan
* the cable is softer and easier to bend
