How the warranty work?

Not gooding, sebab sudah basi.

Sparepart is shared along side with others mitsubishi ASX, Lancer and Inspira due to same engine and chasis configuration. Same with engine and cvt oil. Should not be a problem.

Gearbox no good..Prepare to visit workshop frequently.

That time Proton not willing to sell cars above RM100K except the Perdana which is perceived to be luxury vehicle. All Mitu SUV that time was over RM100K. At that time also these vehicles came with at least 2.0L petrol or diesel engine. Proton being a low cost, low budget budget oriented company would not be able to sell a lot of these.

Outlander doesn't have rear AC - so if you are planning to buy this for the sake of its '7 seater' or 5+2 seater, be prepared to hear grouses from those sitting at the back.

even with maintenance, a small CC engine will never outlast a big CC engine
instead of saying misleading, try doing an experiment of driving both engine long distance and see which one will last the longest number of years without problem
the smaller CC engine would have higher RPM on high speed while big CC would have lower RPM at the same speed...meaning dealing with less heat and everything
and many many more reasons

If you’re talking about big cc Japanese cars like the 3.5 litre engines in a Lexus or a Honda, then yes. A lot less issues. Basically you don’t need to work the engines as much as a smaller cc.

Same logic can be applied to air-conditioners.
