attention to every new or current owners.... please DO NOT attempt to wipe or even touch the plastic lens cover of the instrument cluster. Don't even try to wipe it with a microfibre cloth. It scratches damm easily, imagine your microfibre cloth turning into sandpaper

I was not aware about this and attempted to wipe the dust off it yesterday using microfibre cloth.... this is the result  doh.gif

luckily for me at least it is not that obvious most of the time unless there's light shining onto it, but damage had been done

this is not a CKD issue, its a well known issue for a long time and i think it applies to Mazda 3 as well

Mazda USA even issued a bulletin for this

I asked around the fb owner's group for solutions, and some suggested to just directly apply a TPU film onto it, will cover most of the scratches. Gonna try that next

TPU film on plastic surface.. long term will it affect anything?

TPU film glue + Heat on plastic surface...

So regarding my issue above....

Somehow they can't fix it and told me to make appointment with paint and bodyworks instead (didn't know it's seperate from SC)

This is the issue I'm talking about

Maybe ask SC if can update but I dont think will have any new features. Gracenote db can DIY update but its just for album art information when you play music using bluetooth or usb. Irrelevant if you use AA or AC with spotify or youtube music

No wonder I feel weird how come there’s powered by gracenote logo there 😅

Yes sometimes the album art doesnt match the music and it will be slightly annoying 😅

Your 3 comes with the latest screen (10.25") and software. I think it supports touchscreen during AA and AC? Also the navigation direction from AA and AC can be shown on the HUD. Still hoping someone figure out a way to update or hack this onto CX30
*
Still no touch screen support for AA and AC
For AA is Google maps navigation on HUD
AC will be Apple Maps on HUD

The price of CX30 H+P is almost similar to CX5 2.0G High. I wonder what makes CX30 more attractive than the bigger CX5? Share share pls.
I'm current considering Toyota Corolla Cross and Mazda CX30 or CX5.

i drive a mazda 3 liftback (smaller and lower compare cx30), wife drives a cx5 2.0 FL.

If driver sitting position is your main concern, get the cx30
if space, rear boot space is your concern, cx5 is the answer..
during family trips we will just use her cx5 as it is more comfortable..

power wise, ok la not too bad for the cx5 2.0. the engine tuning on the 3 i can feel slightly faster compare to the cx5, but the 3 is still an underpower car laugh.gif
