the rear doors due to the way the claddings are designed, dirt will enter inside the door panel
no worries dirt won't enter the passenger cabin because got rubber seals, it's just that u need to wash frequently the inside of the door panels that is not blocked by the rubber seal





another option is to buy 3rd party plastic mudguard that install in the wheel well which covers the gap
it's plug & play using the existing clips in the wheel well
I did install it on my car and it works well

Some tips for new or even current owners who are not aware

- You can put one of your spare key to sleep mode. This will prevent battery draining, no need to swap keys anymore to maintain battery level. Press 4 times on the lock button, then on the 5th time hold it until you hear some beeps. Your key is now in sleep mode, it can no longer be used for keyless entry and start your car. To reactive it just repeat the steps.



- The usb port in the center console armrest actually supports AC and AA also. Not just the front port. This is good if you plan to get those wireless AC / AA adapter, you can just plug in and store in the center console. For the front port for me I bought a mini usb ambient light for some extra illumination (seriously one thing I dont like about CX30 is how little ambient illumination there is, not even the center console storage )

These 2 tips I was aware about actually and I just brought it up to my SA today to 'test'.... unsurprisingly she was not aware about either of them. But at least one of the service center guy knows about the keyfob sleep mode

attention to every new or current owners.... please DO NOT attempt to wipe or even touch the plastic lens cover of the instrument cluster. Don't even try to wipe it with a microfibre cloth. It scratches damm easily, imagine your microfibre cloth turning into sandpaper

I was not aware about this and attempted to wipe the dust off it yesterday using microfibre cloth.... this is the result 



luckily for me at least it is not that obvious most of the time unless there's light shining onto it, but damage had been done

this is not a CKD issue, its a well known issue for a long time and i think it applies to Mazda 3 as well

I asked around the fb owner's group for solutions, and some suggested to just directly apply a TPU film onto it, will cover most of the scratches. Gonna try that next
