Mine was DIY assembly the dashcam.
No panel was opened for both front and rear dashcam.
However rear dashcam got one wire exposed but doesn't bother me as it was blocked by rear passenger headrest.
I don't do hardwire kit as my SA mentioned it will void the warranty. so i had mine powered from the front USB side.

I installed mine at New GS Accessories PJ since they are Bermaz panel workshop, they're also the supplier for the illuminated side steps. Most SA in KV will send the cars here for dashcam installation before handing over to their customers. Some SA will even claim installing here doesn't void the warranty even with hardwire
I've read that hardwiring is a bit tricky for CX30 due to live fuse or something like that so better go for a shop that is familiar with it otherwise you are gonna risk draining the battery. For New GS they actually added an extra fuse in just for the dashcam.
Regarding warranty.... most will tell you confirm void. But in the end its your own risk and decision to make. For me I just go for hardwire since I'm confident with CX30 electronics. So far in owners group I haven't actually seen anyone reporting issues related to it. Got also its due to external factors like water enter through dashboard during tinting or
stone hitting the front logo causing the safety system to go haywire, but either these cases warranty doesn't cover anyway
If you are using DDPAI they actually have a hardwire kit that uses the OBD port for power. So its kinda like plug and play, can just remove anytime if needed for warranty.
In the end, I decided to go with the A810 with OBD2 kit. Both from 70Mai. Will install via OBD2 kit as its plug and plug and does not involve messing with any fuses. Also has voltage cutoff settings so hopefully it wont kill my battery.
Didnt know that stone hitting the logo is even a thing

do you protect it with PPF or something?
