I saw this cheap mifi (price below 200) but the description wasn't clear. Will I be connected to 5G or "fast" 4G network?

The seller got defensive summore when I asked simple question: is it 4G (B28) or 5G?

I suppose sifus here can answer this?

it's a trap.

4G - band 28
5G - band 78

OK, sounded like the seller was trying to avoid admitting that the mifi still connects to 4G network by "playing with words".

In this case, for example, if I have a sim plan that offer unlimited 5G and 50GB FUP for 4G/LTE, connecting to this "B28" will use up my 4G allocation?

yup, since b28 only for 4G. your 50GB FUP 4G/LTE will be used up in no time.

I've seen that flymodem cheap modem from china before in shopee. "It's too good to be true" for a 5G MiFi with that price of ~RM300.  laugh.gif

Yeah now price already dropped to 150 on sh***e. If it still connects to only 4G, then I already have my own 4G USB mifi for the past few years. Luckily didn't order this one.

Anyone with experience with two 5G wifi modems? ZTE F50 in particular doesn’t seem to be popular in Malaysia but plenty of Facebook discussions in the Philippines.

How about the details here? Still no 5G support for DNB?

Also Shpee price is premium as usual. This listing is from Aliexpress. Not saying I want to buy there. Just see see first at the moment.

Oh ok. So 5G in Malaysia is using B28? Instead of N-something?

Ok. So I imagine if the modem has this tick box to say connect only to N28 and N78. Without ability to tick the box for B28, I won’t be connected to 5G ya?

Any comment on this “travel” modem? Been trying to check what chip they use but unable to find yet. Maybe Mediatek?
