Last 16 (Part 1)
Ct-1 vs Ice'Zq Ct-1 : Tiny , Lina , Qop , Sven , SF Ice'Zq : Silencer , Zeus , Veno , AM , POTM Ct-1 drafted a safe 3 stunner strat while Ice picked an unconventional Antimage and a Silencer to face Ct-1's heavy caster lineup. Kills were pretty evne throughout the game but Ct-1 was always in control. By the 40th min , every hero in Ct-1 has a blink dagger with 3 of them having boots of travel , giving them flexibility in engagements. Ice's heroes although are farmed but the lack of participation of Venomancer throughout the game might be a sign that this hero has outlived its usefulness in clan wars. The flexibility shown in battles is evident in their 55th min kill of Antimage. Out of no where , 4 heroes appeared and the "untouchable" Antimage is brought down in a second. The game was pretty over by then and Ct-1 wrapped it up in 67 mins. MVP goes to Ct-Po for the Deso build made famous by Ks-Yamateh that made the SF a killer machine. FTZ vs MMORPG FTZ : BM , Lina , Zeus , Sven , SF MMORPG : Pudge , POTM , Warlock , THD , Silencer The failure of MMO to take away Beastmaster from FTZ buried their roots of defeat in this game. The tendency of FTZ to pick early-mid game ownage heroes and the fondness of Penang teams of the hero Beastmaster failed to register in MMO drafter's book. To MMO's credit , their draft was decent with heavy lane ownage until the game really starts. SF in mid totally win the lane against Silencer making it have nothing but a boot to show at the 12th min and 4 levels below SF. The SF showed off his MVP credentials at the 15th min battle where he razed the fleeing the POTM at what it seems to be an impossible angle. SF reached level 16 at the 28th min with Heart of Tarasque and a Blink dagger. Through a series of failed pushes , MMO's heroes got farmed and managed to get their kills even with FTZ. A turn of tables is on the horizon. FTZ realized they cant outkill MMO anymore and made a series of split pushes to confuse MMO's defending heroes. This started a 20 min chain of battles which saw MMO heroes raking up the kills while FTZ bringing more of MMO's raxes down. In a sleek move by the Sven , he single handedly brought down 3 raxes while the other MMO heroes are chasing another of Sven's allies. The game was over by then in which FTZ's pushing abilities made all the difference. MVP goes to Ftz'Wenz who plays the Shadowfiend for his game clutching ability which provided FTZ the basis for the win. KS vs Ice'sT KS : Qop , SF , Chaos Knight , Tormented Soul , Tiny Ice : POTM , Sven , Puck , Zeus , Lina For many , a Kingsurf victory was never in doubt. What no one expected is how Ice made them work for their victory in such devastating manner. KS suffered the worst beginning of a match thanks to the great use of Puck from Ice. For the first 20 mins , almost all of KS heroes has negative kills/deaths ratio , a rare situation for KS to be in. Hence , a fight back they staged and what a difference compared to their early slumber. Tiny in particular produced much of the kills with a wicked sick kill early into mid game, giving his team the gap they needed to farm up the items they needed for the subsequent own. Puck proved to be a nuisance throughout the game with its rather imbalanced ability and somehow stopped KS from continuing with the killing spree lots of times. However the multiple kills after the 30th min from KS left the game result in no doubt. MVP goes to Ks'x|aoma who plays the Tiny with all its crucial toss and stuns led KS back to victory and provided the great moments of the game. mKvL vs Sino.Mng mKvL : Sven , TS , Qop , Warlock , Silencer Sino.Mng : Sandking , Lina , Viper , POTM , THD Not much to comment on this game as mKvL controlled the game from the beginning. Silencer spent most of his time farming alone with no interference from the enemy. Big engagements by Sino is often halted by the Global Silence spell resulting in an mKvL win most of the time. A rather straightforward game as mKvL crusied to the Quarterfinals. MVP goes to mKvL` | Ken* who played the Qop for the kills it contributed to the cause of winning the game.
