All run down hotels. So many fancy villas only become a wallpaper. No construction in sight.

But langkawi tourist up 600k compare to previous year. Maybe u just not their target. Tbh, the island in semenanjung is limited. Other than Langkawi, beautiful beaches obviously will be in Terengganu, Redang, Perhentian etc. Pangkor limited activities. Penang good food but beach is dirty.

Have to agree with TS. 10 years ago was there for pre honeymoon.. If it's not because of the danna langkawi I would really say langkawi has no value for money. Yr better off in any other islands in Thailand.
