Allamanda golf course has a resort with breathtaking landscape, water features, sand bunker, and greenery.

Their clubhouse designs are high ceilings, rafters made of wood, and a multi-tiered roof.

I stay at 2022 may.

That time the room have a bit dust.

But covid-19 lock down almost 3 years.

Yes, its a bit old resort hotel type, but very well maintained and managed. The huge room size is probably because the patio is 1/3 of the size.
Kidding aside, it was a decent room, with decent pool.
But what made an impression was the breakfast duty manager. He was really one of those manager who walks fast, checked everything that came out of the kitchen and gave the servers a hard time. Its rare to find those kind of passion in the service industry these days.

During my stay, there were a few units booked by Korean tourists, so that morning the breakfast had some korean dishes including kimchi. I think its good that the resort was very accommodating to cater to their guests, however small the group was.

One of my most pleasant stay, had wanted to come back there again, but there wasn't much else to do around there. Plus, its a little in a distance from the main JB town area.

old room and super run down. no maintenance. very smelly after rain. dont recommend it.

I think it might be due to low business. Mount Austin opened a golf club around 2006 or 2007.


Horizon Hills and Impian Emas also have golf clubs. Kulai IOI also has a golf club. Between 1995 and 2010, many golf clubs opened in Johor Bahru, leading to a lot of competition.

Which year you stayed at there?

i just went there last 2 weeks for bro in law wedding... Those room is not what it is... was staying in 2nd floor and the corridor looks creepy without lights but it is bright when lights is open.

Along corridor, u will see alot terrible leakage from ceiling and riser...

Many Mosquitoes right?

Mosquitoes have but still ok cuz we bring our repellent. Staff is friendly.. My father in law rooms was terribe. Aircon and lights is not functiong well on 1st night. Technician came the 2nd night and fix it.
Other than the building is not well maintaned, the rest is ok. Many korean tourist still staying there actually.

Actually, the Koreans work and live in the Johor Bahru area. Some Koreans live in Singapore and drive to Johor. Sin Chew Johor edition reported this news last time.
