My dell 27" monitor can't be turned on although power was connected. After chatted with Dell Warranty team, they will send me a refurnished one.

I wonder if the refurnished's quality would be bad as my current one, I seldom use, just average 30 hours per month in usage.

To the person who reported:

I didn't know Dell does not repair faulty products but to exchange with refurnished one.

So nice and reduce hassle and remaining time。

Well, technically the refurbished one would have been someone else's monitor that got repaired

And like you mentioned, them doing it this way is much faster since you dont have to wait for them to repair your monitor

They would take your monitor in and repair it at some point and it will be given to someone else in the future when someone requests a warranty service or they will sell it on their refurbished store

They replace the same / updated model, so it should be identical or better.
Practically you can reclaim warranty again if you are not satisfied with it. icon_idea.gif

I went through the process 1 time and the replaced unit (newer model) lasts a lot longer, works until now.

Nice. I didn't know Dell is using this way.

Great to have Dell. Everything is simple and fast.
