anyone know is there anyway to find out whether particular app is install from play store or huawei app gallery?
I always use play store to install app but the strange thing is wechat now is 8.0.44 which only app gallery can reach that version while play store only 8.0.37. Is this means that appgallery auto update wechat for me without my notification?

so 1 app from play store can both update either from play store and app gallery without any conflict?
Do you think maybe play store now scan my app and found out my wechat is 8.0.44 which is beyong its support version 8.0.37 that why it cause this error at "manages app and device" part?

WeChat can self update (directly download it's own apk and request you to install)

But yes... It's possible that other stores can update it as well, I see it often with Samsung Galaxy App Store, but usually Samsung's store does not interfere with apps that are from play store

As for the error with the manage app part
I don't think WeChat being newer is related to that issue at all, I have it on 8.0.44 as well and the store is fine

But due to it say must "allow install from unknown source" so I not dare to change that to allow install. That one must always not allow. If not very danger, those bad app will come in.

The mere act of turning that on does not allow any apps to just freely install any apps, you still got to press install

government is pushing very hard on DONT INSTALL APKs
I can understand it from a safety perspective but if you know where you are getting your apks from it's fine
but when in doubt, better safe than sorry
