wanted to share my experience and find a cheaper and reliable way to fix the screen.

first time i tried to post, the admin rejected my post saying i should contact oppo care online chat first before posting. so i did, was advised to go oppo pavillion bukit jalil and so i went.

and duh, the technician check and found my phone in good condition but since my warranty is over, i have to fork out RM800 to repair the screen defect (expected reply since i already went to oppo ioi city mall before this, but hey i thought the admin of fb group know something i don't)

so tried to post in the group again. again, my motive was to share my crappy experience with the screen and to find somewhere to repair the phone. this time my post was approved… and removed within 1 hour. i tried editing and posting again and still, removed.

the group i think is by technave (with 64k members) , oh well, might as well rename to oppo ads group if members cant share anything bad about their oppo phone. i seen post about defective screen in the group from time to time, but most will get removed later.

my phone screen now, anyone can recommend trustworthy repair shop?

i dunno about oppo, but my friend vivo x70 pro same issue display green line

but vivo very good free replace display include workmanship (the phone no more warranty)

yes, i heard vivo give 1 time free replacement for defect like this, even after warranty period. but not oppo apparently. my phone was in great condition, yet still asked to pay to fix an apparent screen defect.

U got 2 choices.

1. Viral it and compare with vivo or samsung hopefully viral enough then oppo will give a shit offer u free replacement.

2. Shaddap and ownself fork out money replacement or better yet buy vivo?

The thing is this defect is hard to determine whether manufacture fault or user caused (phone drop or sit on).
Unless many ppl starts to complaint same issue then only manufacturer care to absorb cost for replacement.

i wanted to fork out money to repair, but not RM800 that oppo trying to charge me. my initial reason to post is to share my experience and find cheaper repair shop.

no more oppo and it's sister company loh, once bitten twice shy.

I only go 1 shop at NSK Kuchai Lama. Shop located at lower ground (not 1st floor shops) just outside electrical shop.

Price wise i can say wont scam u but if u want cheaper ownself buy parts bring just pay for service.
I brought my phone for batt replacement (battery kembang) the phone already 2 parts (and i ownself bought battery) liao ask other shops ask price like RM100 when go this shop charge RM20

I also kena quoted rm800 to fix my old note8 cracked screen. Eventho so old liao. I go find the parts thinking to replace myself. Cheapest also rm400 just for the parts.

beats me, the only feedback when they decline my post is ask me to contact oppo care before posting (which i did).

maybe since the group is started by technave, which is one of the big tech media news site in malaysia, maybe they don't want group users to post too much bad stuff? bad publicity later oppo angry maybe?

oppo launching new Reno series phone soon you know. and mine is also a reno series phone, maybe bad timing to post problem about reno phone? I Dunno also.

For samseng i think newer models they will change screen + battery attached hence on the higher price.
Outside shop just change screen.

shopee around rm300 for the display only. seems more expensive because of the curved display. I also don't like the curved nature of my reno 4 pro
