Why no gpu can challenge NVidia and AMD?

Since 2 decades ago, it has always been nvidia or amd. Which side more bang for buck, which side give more fps.
We never heard a third company challenging the market share. Look at how weak igpu or apu is. We have apple GPU now but still no where to be seen running aaa games at fps comparable to nvidia/amd. Why out of these world, only these two companies can make gpu? |
