So I was a victim of a hit and run accident yesterday. The damage was not that serious but reading the comments from all over malaysia internet, it seems that I would stand to lose my 55% NCD. But I am curious to know what would be the approximate cost to repair my car? See the photo below? My 55% NCD about RM550. My friend told me this would cost only around RM150. What do you guys think?

Why not just continue on your existing thread? I'm no expert in this, but even if I give it RM500 tops to fix the dent, no way is it worth to claim insurance and lose your 55% NCD

The boot cannot be opened so I am guessing the latch is damaged as well. So don't know that part can DIY or not.

Last time I repaired a wira 1.6xli fender, it cost me RM500 inclusive paint. That was like 2001 price..
Paint is the most expensive one .

RM150 for knocking and respray? Where to find?

My dad kena before, rear ended by motorcycle - the bumper bounced back out, so from outside look like minimal damage, but when send for repairs, the boot floor also kena kemek dalam, damage jialat. Have to assess first. This type of damage can become very frustrating because can cause water leaking into the boot if repair not done properly.

Another point, RM550 NCD is for first year only no? Need to calculate NCD 2nd-4th yr opportunity cost too.

Yeah, that's why I surprised on the estimated RM150 repairs. Maybe no repainting.

like you said, its estimate, not the real amount, if the lock only dented, then can hammer back, but if cannot open, must use force, then more damage, more money.

I don't intend to respray. I just want to ketuk. I don't mind the scratches honestly.

Ya good point, NCD I would stand to lose would be more than just RM550...

Why lose your NCD.

Just go to those body shop and pay by cash la

who ask you to use your insurance?

that other car who bang you has no insurance, if I not mistaken, right?

Suggest go to workshop and ask for quotation first.

could be cheaper than claiming NCD

if only the boot and no paint damage, can use paintless dent repair (PDR)
after that just polish back the scratches

Car got warranty still? If no more and going outside to fix, maybe better to just ownself pay if its like 200-300.
