Revamped MM2H (Malaysia My Second Home)

The minimum age requirement has been lowered to 30 years, opening the door to more people who seek to make Malaysia their second home.

Another significant change is an expanded list of eligible dependents.

In addition to spouses, children below 21 and children with disabilities, the programme now covers all children between 21 and 34 years old who are not working or married in Malaysia.

Parents and parents-in-law are also eligible to be included as dependents.

Didn't a lot of people wanted that?
They claim foreigners buying up properties and taking over the country?

You know which state will benefit most and Its ruler will win all... But generally for current situation, why not? They bring in funds and spend here. It is a win-win... at least for current Malaysia economy situation.

You don't need MM2H to buy a property as a foreigner. The condition is you only can buy a property that is above certain value. MM2H supposed to be good because the visa holder are injecting funds into banks and spending in local economy

Foreigners buying properties has nothing to do with MM2H, and they are only allowed to buy properties valued more than RM1mil. So it has zero impact on most of the people.

Most Malaysian are xenophobic.
Just like when they build forest city so many make stereotyping jokes about prc that will come.

Not yet see foreigner claim new voters issues.

Real impact doesn't matter when it comes to people's perception.
Forest city suppose zero impact on most people but a lot are upset by it.
