griffon's sculpt are mostly un realistic../not life like/not enough curves/ details/definitions/simple face sculpt,
Alter's are usually well sculpted/action pose/body propotional/very fine... but mostly limited to 1/8 scale...
However, more importantly surperb sculpts/figurines and scales mostly depends of scuplter and his interpretation of manga/anime characters.. some sculpts are exceptional from both camps... same goes to other manufacturers
