Say, anyone here displays their figures on their desk, instead of behind glass cabinets? What do you use to clean your figures once it gathered dust?

I always wanted to have one or two figures on my desk. I thought that I could just pass under tap water to remove the gathered dust, but was told by others to not do it, as it would diminish the paint. How true is that?

Say, how much does computer shops usually charge for a can of compressed air? Several people in an IRC channel that I usually lurk at recommended me to spray them with compressed air when dust started piling up, mainly due to the convenience and how quickly it removes the dust, compared to dusting it with a brush.

Is the box really large (I know the Alter Fate have a HUGE box, no idea about GSC Nanoha)? That might explain the high shipping fees. I recently ordered some figures from a US store too, paid USD$32 for shippings, but it's all worth it, because they were selling the figures for so cheap (and it's not bootlegged shit at all), and the shipping was so fast, it's as if I ordered it from hlj, with free shipping.

You might want to ask if they have other shipping methods that will reduce the cost. Mine was mailed through this "Priority Mail" service, which I *think* is the hlj EMS equivalent, and took 10 days to arrive on my doorsteps, from the day they sent me a delivery confirmation email.

By the way, what's the site where you ordered the Nanoha from?

If you want to play the blaming game, blame it on the market (or rather, the lack of one), the consumer's mentality, or hell, blame it on how small our currency is, and how low our minimum wage is (fastfoods over here in Melaka are still offering RM3.5 per hour on average, how's there in major cities like KL?). It's even more ridiculous once you compare it with the Japanese/American/Singaporean fanbase. For instance, the average Japanese would need to work for around 2.5 hours to buy a Revoltech figure (2000yen, assuming 800yen minimum hourly wage), while here, the average Malaysian would need to work 16.8 hours to afford the same thing (and that's assuming it's sold at its original converted price, RM58.9, instead of RM69/75/79.90 as seen in places like XL-shop, assuming RM3.5 hourly wage)

Most pirated goods are usually so badly done, you can tell just by looking at it anyway. Why worry?

Not to mention even if you can't tell, it's alright as long as you're happy with your purchase, since that's the point of buying them in the first place, right?

Try browsing the site and see if there's anything else that you want, that's selling for cheap, such that it'll offset the high shipping fees?

I plan on getting this, but I'm waiting for this to be released, so that I could order both and save up a little on the shipping.

Eh, so cheap? My single PVC figure EMS shipment from hlj sometime ago was 1100+yen, and it's only around 700g including the shipping box.

Shipping for the second list of stuffs are kinda high though, 2900yen for SAL shipment (compared to 980yen for the first list). Guess Shuraki Rize's box is really HUGE.
