Last I went to look see forest city the salesman story their ambition to develop their immigration building and have their own bridge from fc to tuas side. They also envisioned their own mrt rail network within the fc itself. Residents of fc will have exclusive access to and fro their own immigration and bridge bypassing the jam at current checkpoints. Outsiders cannot enter fc to use the immigration and bridge. Wah looks like going to be reality. A sovereign enclave for and managed by foreigners.

Macam not possible to link directly Forest City to Tuas unless they spend billions building dedicated facility and road

I think it's not direct link from Forest City to Tuas. Still have to use second link, but the residents of Forest City will got special lane/express lane dedicated to them at the immigration. So it will shorten their queueing time, no need to face traffic for hours.

I think they tried to attract more renters or buyers who works at SG to live in Forest City. Actually it kinds of good idea tbh.

Why all the JB developments sounds like it can need or can only succeed when got access to Singapore?

And assume Singapore will sure agree?

FC promoters always talk like they can make 3rd link with Singapore

Just extend East West MRT line to forest city enough already.
People can stay at forest city and go to Singapore to work via MRT.

Now got reason to stay for those working in Singapore.

they will have a dedicated counter also? if not what is the point.. just like bus got their own lane now but still jam / stuck when traffic is there.

mrt direct to sg will be a better solution.

Need to look at how much population in forest city.

RTS can service 10k passengers each way in a hours. 2 way is equal to 20k.

Based on the repoty, only 9k population in Forest city. 1 way already fetch entire population to sg. After the peak hours the train will not be utilising.

I am considering buying one.....just for me to get nearer to my son family.....

That's bad idea

The extra lane at current immigration will reduce the existing of lanes which will worsen the traffic congestion. The same road leading to immigration always gets squeeze by bus, lorries to the left...cars to the right...

This reminds me of certain airport in China where they have dedicated for "Late Passengers" 
Wonder how the officer going to acknowledge that you are genuine late or not
