question: after the 1+12 is region unlocked, would it still be ok to hard reset or factory reset the phone? or will that wipe the settings?

so far so good... its flash to global and also region unlock in China, i suppose. I received my box in full plastic wrap.

btw, didnt see any gaps at camera, checked & looks ok, then immediately put in case. hehe..

e-wallets and banking apps all working fine.

CN set + global rom + region unlock = MY set

CN set cheaper and also comes with charger and case. MY set need to buy charger separately, making it more expensive it seems.

fastech also sell oneplus accessories like wireless charger and wireless earbud, in case u looking..

been playing genshin on this phone. didnt notice any throttling or frame rate issues, but im not so particular on those, so might miss them. so far game is smooth, didnt feel laggy or anything.

temperature also just normal while playing genshin, didnt notice any heat issue where u feel like ur hands are warm holding the phone. i would notice this since 1+7pro will become hot when playing genshin, laggy as well.

youtube was normal didnt notice any bug,

So far the only bug i find is some apps unable to open (loading and then closed by itself), like secret recipe app. not that important, and maybe coz developer didnt update to latest android version. but other than that, no issues so far...

looking at shopee reviews, all have bubble issues on the side.. normal apply or even the ones with guide thingy.. even the ones that came pre-curved on sides.. haihh wont be using any so soon i guess...

im using ringke fusion x. will be a bit bulky but feels safe and protected even if accidentally dropped the phone. most important is it doesn't disturb phone use like side swipe screen still works, buttons press all work great and cutting seems perfect.

this casing hugs the side quite high but since i'm using original screen protector so it feels good for me, screen becomes almost flat not curved. not sure whether it will affect if using 3rd party tempered glass or not..

Hehe I'm also just using the OnePlus 7pro charger.. still super fast charging but only 30W iinm..hopefully battery lasts longer

anyone else having issues with TNG card NFC reload? it comes up with error "NFC application not supported" or something like that then reload process will fail / unsuccessful. Must try like 10-15times before can get it successfully reloaded. Encountered this 2 times already, a bit annoyed with this TNG E-wallet.

clean OS is one of the main reason i go with oneplus 12. even though i dont like the round camera design hahaha... so far so good, hope they dont mess up the OS in future...

now if only ringke comes up with a casing that have square camera outline, that'd be awesome...

Same with me. My grabpay also most of the time missing the qr code. Need to restart the phone for.it to work like normal again, for a while, but afterwards will have same issue again.. when it happened will have to change to touchngo ewallet...I think it's the app problem

no i havent done that... the 1st time it occured, i uninstalled and reinstalled grab app.. then only i thought abt restarting the phone, so the 2nd and 3rd time it happened i just restarted the phone. havent happened yet since... i do restart my phone occasionally as well due to other reasons. i reckon its due to android compatibility issues so havent really looked too much into it..

it seems like maybe CN set does not have esim module due to some restriction in China. The easiest way to check this is the EID (esim ID) which is similar to IMEI but for esim.. our CN set does not have EID number (not available) so cannot register for esim. there's an option to activate the esim if we use global rom oxygenos but it wont work after clicking the "add esim".

i see..hopefully then can enable it someday..i'm not using esim yet but maybe good to have if available.. hehe
