My beloved 9pro suddenly got green line last night, been thinking of moving to iPhone or Pixel 9, but compare the price and specification, OnePlus 12 still the best bang of money! Price and everything it's the best.
Been researching on shopee for Oneplus 12, all almost around the same price and check the review from the buyer with picture there are few version of the hardware:
i see mainly on the review said that ROM is flashed to Global ROM (CPH2583) but on the box it's actually stated PJD110 (China version), my concern it's it's there any issue or different between CPH2593 & PJD110??? Hope some sifu can enlighten me on this.
Was using my 9Pro (LE2125) for few years on Digi, but i never get 5G works on phone, went to Digi store to activate it and all, 5G never works, so my another question it's will 5G works if i buy the PJD110 that flashed to global rom?
Hope sifu can help me with the above question before i made my purchase.
if u buy OP12 Malaysia set, you will get with global ROM CPHXXXX and also E-sim function (Main difference). But no charger in package, need to buy separate.
if u buy OP12 CN set, you get free case and 100W charger. For the ROM, you have 2 options - to buy either set with original CN ROM (ColorOS) - PJDXXX or buy set which is flashed to Global ROM (OxygenOS) CPHXXXX.
Difference being:
CN set with ColorOS - comes with standard CN keyboard layout and apps (can be uninstalled), can install playstore and install/use google apps but Android Auto will not function and E-sim cannot be used.
CN set with OxygenOS - standard android apps and keyboard layout, Android Auto can function but E-sim still cannot be used.
CN set comes with 5g bandwidth module which is limited but still similar to Malaysia 5G bands so no issue so far with 5g (both CN and Global Rom). Only thing to look out for prior to purchase would be the region lock, which certain sellers in shopee does not cover nor tell you. If region lock activates then phone cannot use for local calls using telco network.
I think that about covers it, other sifu2 can correct me if i'm wrong..
