I'm using pixel 6a, was using nexus 5 , pixel , pixel 3xl previously.

Thinking to try oneplus , the pricing actually help to make the decision.
My question: to wait for op13 or go for op12?

Based on my research, op12 during launch is around rm3388 and we can get it around RM2700-2800 around august.
Seems abit steep for the depreciation. My pixel 6a bought at 1500 during dec 2022, now 2nd hand maybe still can fetch 600-700.

I started using OnePlus 12 (CPH2581) 16GB RAM/512GB ROM in mid Oct 2024 but the battery life is subpar (since the time I got the phone) compared to what people have posted on different forums and websites

My experience with battery drain:-
-100% to 20% with 5-6 hours SOT (1.5 days since last charge)
-80% to 20% with ~4 hours SOT (1 day since last charge)

Daily usage:-
-40% Vivaldi browser
-35% WhatsApp
-15% Instagram
-10% Banking apps, Photos app etc
-No gaming at all

Settings:-
-Screen refresh rate: Auto-select
-Brightness: Manual (Always below 40%)
-Display: Adaptive tone on all the time during daytime; Eye comfort on all the time during night time
-Always-On Display: Off
-Dark mode: Always on
-Wallpaper: Static picture (Not live wallpaper)
-Preferred network type: 4G/3G/2G (Did not choose 5G) - Always got reception (Most of the time 3 bars)
-Battery mode: Balanced (Never have I chosen High Performance Mode, Power saving, Super Power Saving Mode)
-App battery management - Optimise battery use: Auto-optimised for every app
-Sleep Standby Optimisation: On
-Image Sharpener: Off
-Video Colour Boost: Off
-GPS, Bluetooth and NFC: Always off
-O-Haptics intensity: ~60%
-Auto-update apps in Google Play: Off
-Battery health - Maximum capacity 100%

What I have done:-
-Installed AccuBattery to check for defective battery: Maximum battery capacity in Accubattery >95%
-Factory reset (Initially I used built-in app Clone Phone to migrate data from old phone but there are comments on Reddit saying that might have contributed to poor battery life so they encourage to uninstall and reinstall the app one by one or just proceed with factory reset)

Software and OS version:-
-The battery drain issue persists on both Oxygen OS 14 previously and now Oxygen OS 15

Is this normal?
If not normal, what else can I do to improve the battery life?

As I have mentioned in my previous post, the battery drain issue persists on both Oxygen OS 14 previously and now Oxygen OS 15
Meaning the problem is there on both OOS 14 and 15
But it seems to have resolved after trying out a method I saw on Reddit to calibrate the battery: Charge until 100% and leave it charging for an hour or two --> Use until 0% until the phone shuts down by itself --> Charge until 100% again while the phone is off and leave the charging on for an hour or two
Now my SOT has improved from "100% to 20% with 5-6 hours SOT (1.5 days since last charge)" previously to "100% to 20% with ~8.5-9 hours SOT (1 day since last charge)" now

The camera for OnePlus 12 seems bit better than before,same goes to ace 3/12r(ColorOS15) after updating

In my eyes,seems bit better than before,I'm truly satisfied 🤣

I'm not sure if cn phone support esim or not though .. my opinion is to get it flashed to global Rom since it can be done with OnePlus series

Ah meaning if I buy cn set but flash to global os also won't able to unlock esim function? Glad that you share it here and i don't think I should flash to global Rom anymore.

Google playstore is available in cn set. Only huawei doesn't support gms.

1+ will have gms ... need to manually side load play store
