QUOTE(ck.chunkeat @ Oct 24 2024, 10:56 AM) I'm using pixel 6a, was using nexus 5 , pixel , pixel 3xl previously. Oneplus 13 would easily hit the Rm4k mark. More for local Malaysia set. So if your budget can accomodate that then go for it. Thinking to try oneplus , the pricing actually help to make the decision. My question: to wait for op13 or go for op12? Based on my research, op12 during launch is around rm3388 and we can get it around RM2700-2800 around august. Seems abit steep for the depreciation. My pixel 6a bought at 1500 during dec 2022, now 2nd hand maybe still can fetch 600-700. If not, the Oneplus 12 is more than good enough. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Nov 1 2024, 03:35 PM |

Seems like OOS on Android 15 is pretty good.
After two days on it, battery life is better both on standby and on screen time compared to Android 14. Scrolling on the interface is smoother and faster too. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Nov 8 2024, 10:58 AM |

QUOTE(mcls @ Nov 9 2024, 11:15 AM) Hi all You could download and install OOS 15 now as the update is out. Battery life is much better now. I started using OnePlus 12 (CPH2581) 16GB RAM/512GB ROM in mid Oct 2024 but the battery life is subpar (since the time I got the phone) compared to what people have posted on different forums and websites My experience with battery drain:- -100% to 20% with 5-6 hours SOT (1.5 days since last charge) -80% to 20% with ~4 hours SOT (1 day since last charge) Daily usage:- -40% Vivaldi browser -35% WhatsApp -15% Instagram -10% Banking apps, Photos app etc -No gaming at all Settings:- -Screen refresh rate: Auto-select -Brightness: Manual (Always below 40%) -Display: Adaptive tone on all the time during daytime; Eye comfort on all the time during night time -Always-On Display: Off -Dark mode: Always on -Wallpaper: Static picture (Not live wallpaper) -Preferred network type: 4G/3G/2G (Did not choose 5G) - Always got reception (Most of the time 3 bars) -Battery mode: Balanced (Never have I chosen High Performance Mode, Power saving, Super Power Saving Mode) -App battery management - Optimise battery use: Auto-optimised for every app -Sleep Standby Optimisation: On -Image Sharpener: Off -Video Colour Boost: Off -GPS, Bluetooth and NFC: Always off -O-Haptics intensity: ~60% -Auto-update apps in Google Play: Off -Battery health - Maximum capacity 100% What I have done:- -Installed AccuBattery to check for defective battery: Maximum battery capacity in Accubattery >95% -Factory reset (Initially I used built-in app Clone Phone to migrate data from old phone but there are comments on Reddit saying that might have contributed to poor battery life so they encourage to uninstall and reinstall the app one by one or just proceed with factory reset) Software and OS version:- -The battery drain issue persists on both Oxygen OS 14 previously and now Oxygen OS 15 Is this normal? If not normal, what else can I do to improve the battery life? |

QUOTE(mcls @ Nov 14 2024, 08:09 PM) Thanks for the reply Yes. That is called Recalibarating the battery. Glad it worked for you.As I have mentioned in my previous post, the battery drain issue persists on both Oxygen OS 14 previously and now Oxygen OS 15 Meaning the problem is there on both OOS 14 and 15 But it seems to have resolved after trying out a method I saw on Reddit to calibrate the battery: Charge until 100% and leave it charging for an hour or two --> Use until 0% until the phone shuts down by itself --> Charge until 100% again while the phone is off and leave the charging on for an hour or two Now my SOT has improved from "100% to 20% with 5-6 hours SOT (1.5 days since last charge)" previously to "100% to 20% with ~8.5-9 hours SOT (1 day since last charge)" now |

QUOTE(ehrgeisz23 @ Dec 8 2024, 09:17 PM) In my eyes, seems bit better than before,I'm truly satisfied 🤣 It should. The 13 actually have similar cameras to the 12.Just other update from OnePlus If it's true then, maybe OP14 will have different rear cam bump https://mandarcollegemandar.org/onepluss-wo...s-camera-phone/ |

QUOTE(cruzzmz @ Dec 15 2024, 10:02 AM) I see There is no Esim function on all CN sets of Oneplus phone. Same as per Oneplus 12. When you flash to global roam, the toggle button for the ESim is there but it doesn't work. Oneplus should have disabled the chipset for Esim on all CN sets.I'm not sure if cn phone support esim or not though .. my opinion is to get it flashed to global Rom since it can be done with OnePlus series If you want ESim to work, get the global set. |

QUOTE(cheehoong91 @ Dec 15 2024, 11:52 PM) Ah meaning if I buy cn set but flash to global os also won't able to unlock esim function? Glad that you share it here and i don't think I should flash to global Rom anymore. If u don't mind not having esim function then go for it. CN sets are way cheaper than global sets are. There is no Google playstore on CN rom. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Dec 16 2024, 12:28 AM |
