In US, the service interval for cars using fully synthetic lubricant is 10,000 miles which is 16,000 km while our fully synthetic can last 10,000km . Lots of cars cannot last 300,000 km. Whats your take on this?
*
Depends on car type, oil grade/specs & filter design use. For most European or white people car their oil & filter capacity is also larger to extend the oil change. Look at VW also similar oil change interval at around 15k ~ 20k for Malaysia market.

If you ask motorheads, usually for our weather/climate they dont recommend long change intervals, as our air is quite humid, long term exposure to humid/moisture air, oil additives/properties can wear off fast.

Kinda agree. Most European car or US model car use minimum 6L or some conti even use 8L Fully synthetic oil.

That's impressive. Have you changed the ATF filter before, and at what intervals? HM doesn't state filter change requirement.

Well, some are lucky, and most are not, and it also depends on how you drive. As for the filters, HM does not state filter change requirements, and some SCs will outright say it is not a replaceable part. But it's good to change once every 80-100k (this is what I was told of in HRV group)

I've not changed, but scheduled to change this year for the next service (April). Currently, my HRV is 5 years, 9 months, 76K KM. Planning to change outside of SC should be around RM 600 for both filters and CVT oil.

* planning to change because my car is already 5 years old because I'll be travelling more outstation and even though haven't reached 80/100K KM but SC service is also already 110K KM.

No need, Just drain and fill every 30-40k good enough dy. The most common problem with hobda cvts is the fragile steel belt not clogged valve body like on some toyotas.

A rule of thumb is to always change CVT Filter. Regardless of what brand it is. When it's clogged, fluid won't circulate, which causes more issues. Also, by changing the filter you can monitor your CVT health and get it fixed before its too late. If you change the oil filter why not change the filter too?

Hi, Persona VVT if low mileage, not reach 40k KM within 1 year, need to change the CVT oil and filter? The CVT oil got expired date or active period? Like engine oil even not reach the mileage will change it every 6-8 mths.

Maybe can do CVT oil change first without the Filter due to low mileage used

I think every 30k km is recommended by workshop. If follow Proton manual book, first CVT change at 60k km which I believe too late already

Got the car 2016, reach 60k after 5yrs, change the cvt oil n filter on 2022. End of 2024 secondary pulley low pressure error, so overhaul the gearbox (wallet now anemia).

So now stick to 30k KM, maybe 2.5yrs only get 30k KM...so can I change the oil every 2 yrs or need to change yearly?

Most workshop will suggest to change the CVT oil earlier. And I stick with that. Usually 30k km interval I changed mine at outside workshop, where the CVT oil I will purchase via shope
