 10 yr tenant destroy furniture

Fren have. Tenant stayed for 10 years recently move out but furniture and stuff all terrible destroyed. If case like this can approach tenant to pay for the damage? What if refuse to pay.

Rented for 10 years, do you expect the furnitures to be 100% new? That’s very unreasonable la. Cannot claim damages already la. If it’s a good tenant and always paid on time, don’t need to kira until that.

Negotiate 50%:50% cost sharing. 50% for the wear & tear on landlord side, 50% on the damages by the tenants. You hold the security deposits of 2 1/2 months, then deduct from there.

If you didn't hold any security deposits, then just consider it as your charity to the tenant & cease to pursue the issue further ( not worth your time ).
