Hi everyone currently I am using the Dlink DPN-FX3060V_V2.0.2 ONU and running bridge mode to my TP-Link BE85. In the initial setup I was able to get 2Gbps download and 1Gbps upload.
After roughly 12hours, the speed drops to 300mbps download and 150mbps upload. My plan has 2 unit of the ONU so I tried setup with another ONU and same thing happen again.
Anyone has solution for this? Is it because of the settings or the firmware issue? Previously was using the Huawei white ONU was very stable no problem but was limited to 1Gbps only.

QUOTE(Verblassen @ Aug 6 2024, 03:06 PM) This is a common issue for us with the wretched black box. Have you tried restarting your router and the D Link? If that doesn't work you may have to reset the D Link and undertake bridge mode again - I personally had to do this. So far I've only encountered this once. Tried restart the ONU and Router, immediately I started off with the slow speed. Once I reset the D-Link ONU, then it will back to normal again. I can't be doing this all the time which quite a hassle. Which means now no solution at the moment right? Btw, which bridging method you using? You using "GPON bridge" from the WAN Mode selection page or you change from "PPOE" to "Bridged" at the PON WAN page?

QUOTE(Verblassen @ Aug 6 2024, 03:23 PM) Unfortunately bro, no solution for now. We have to wait it out. Nevertheless, congrats on hitting 2gbps and 1gbps dl ul. Offhand I can't remember. I think it was from the setup wizard page. You just click GPON bridge and call it a day. hahahahaa, thanks but hitting it not for long and it drops~ I am thinking if anyone has older firmware V1.0.6 for the ONU will it work better and have a copy of the firmware to share with us otherwise I guess I will have to revert back to the old Huawei ONU at the moment oh the GPON bridge from setup wizard page, I got you... lucky you that speed drop only happen to you once

Just an update for users with 2Gbps plan, having the black box and having speed drop while in bridge mode. I have sent report to Unifi and they sent technician to my place to rectify issue.
Talked with the technician, they at the moment the solution they did some coding and adjustment with their in house software to troubleshoot the problem at the moment as the firmware for it is still in R&D stage.
However, after they did their thing for my black box and they went back. 1 day after, the speed dropped again and contacted to come again next week.
During troubleshoot time they have a problem because it was conflicting with the ATA as I have another small black box was used for having 2 phone line. If it wasn't the ATA issue, they could have done it in 10-15minutes as they previously solve the problem of drop speed for other users as well. Only my case is because I use ATA so is first time for them and abit troublesome.
I shall update you guys again next week when they come over to troubleshoot again.
Furthermore, I overheard the technician complaining all the combo box from TM has problem to their team. There is another bug where their combo box can only only support up to 64 devices only, anything more than that the box itself with freeze or restart itself.

QUOTE(Verblassen @ Aug 15 2024, 04:53 PM) Thanks for this! Is yours the same issue like mine? 2gbps on black box but less than that when in bridge mode? Once in a very blue moon we can get 2gbps? Haha. ya we are the same~ in bridge mode i get 2gbps but after X number of hours it will randomly drop speed to 200-300mbps.

Not sure they are giving me preferential treatment becoz I rant about this in my X posts. update us later, what was their solution~ previously i as i know they do customer configuring and coding to the ONU with their own software/tool

Latest Update: * For those who is facing drop of internet speed using bridge mode
TM technician has came to my premise to do some configuration to the BLACK BOX. Technician laptop was connected to it then ANYDESK was used for their other technician to access to do some command patching and programming stuff and uses some problem tool.
Now my 2Gbps does not have drop speed issue for a week. I reported my case through the online chat from their website mentioning my problem and requiring their highest professional team to settle the issue.
Hope this helps everyone out there.

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Sep 2 2024, 05:37 PM) Do you have any idea what they did? It's super hard to get the proper TM technician to come, usually they will send the contractors which are kinda bad I only saw another technician should be from their HQ remote to the on-site technician laptop, opened some command prompt to do execute some files and command and used their in-house program to make some changes which i don't understand. I made the report through the online chat, maybe whoever interested can do the same way i guess? This post has been edited by zhihao4456: Sep 3 2024, 03:33 PM

QUOTE(chillingz @ Sep 9 2024, 02:59 PM) Can share what special configuration they did for the Black D-Link Combo Box? QUOTE(aa123aa @ Sep 9 2024, 02:24 PM) can share what is the special configuration used? am trying to get the technician to fix the speed drop issue for few times already but the tm team assigned doesn't seem to have any other solution atm. tq QUOTE(countingcrows @ Sep 9 2024, 01:46 PM) So how can everyone else get that "fix"? I really wish I could share the steps to do so but unfortunately I can't because as all is done my the technician along with their remote technician. Some commands and programs are used to do the configuration. I can only advice not to use the dial 100 to make your complaint and use the online chat instead. Telling them you insist to have the highest level technician to come over to fix your 2Gbps speed drop problem. That's what I did.
