QUOTE(d100200 @ Dec 11 2023, 06:21 PM) Yep. I follow the tracert command in V41, indeed I am given private IP. the cost for organisation to hold a block of IPv4 pool kept increasing. all ISPs are under cost pressure on that side. it's not free to hold on to those blocks. Hopefully, they will switch the IP. deploying CGNAT is part of managing that holding cost and keeping prices low to larger segment of society. only need to give expensive IPv4 to those that really needs it and/or having it costed into their subscription and paying for it. estimate price $45-$60 per IPv4 (July 2023). Maxis charges flat RM10/mth add-on. i assume Unifi otherwise had factored the cost in for those 500Mbps and above, thus not really free. https://ipxo.com/blog/ipv4-price-history/ |

QUOTE(kwss @ Dec 5 2023, 07:43 PM) I got a feeling TM will delay FSU for 800Mbps user. i visually compared side-by-side, no difference between T&C document of today's and 18th Oct 2023.I went and check their website, FAQ and TnC again, something have changed. Now they just mentioned: "All eligible customers will be upgraded by default, transition to take place from now until December 2023" We all know this doesn't apply to at least 800Mbps user. I remember previously they mentioned January 2024 to July 2024 in the TnC, but now TnC says: "The Campaign shall commence from 2 October 2023 until further notice (βCampaign Periodβ). However, TM may, at its sole and absolute discretion ends or extends the Campaign Period without prior notice to Customer." I find back a post from Soya Cincau quoting the following: "The FAQ also states that the upgrade activities will take place starting October 2023 to July 2024. You will receive a notification once your plan has been upgraded." Ref: https://soyacincau.com/2023/10/05/unifi-fre...s-tms-response/ I also remember they list the one-off price for equipment change in lieu of contract renewal. If memory serve me right it was less than RM300. However, I cannot find it anymore. Now they just say: "For the upgraded equipment, you will be given an option of contract refreshed to 24- months or a one-off payment for the device price." From another thread there is rumor TM will upgrade from GPON to something else. I suspect there is a possibility they will only give the FSU after they done whatever upgrade needed, at their own sweet time. Also, the TnC now has a Force Majeure section disclaiming all liability. I don't remember they had one previously. But I might be getting too old to remember things properly. but the FAQ previously was short in pdf (attached) and even shorter on https://unifi.com.my/speedupgrade2023/ one-off payment RM180. I vaguely remember it was derived from document of Ultra ONR, costing exactly RM180, BUT now i cannot find which document. however, i found alternative reference: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=108250958 also found CPE replacement pdf (attached) Attached File(s)

QUOTE(failed.hashcheck @ Dec 12 2023, 10:30 PM) Thats weird decision coming from Time. ipv4 for downward pricing? you sure aaaaa? One of smaller isp with disproportionately big ipv4 pool (2nd biggest after TM), serving demographics that that prefers 300mbps+, not to mention the downward trend of global ipv4 pricing. Even with their big datacenter business taking up IPs it still sounds like a rushed move. even AWS will start charging for IPv4. previously 1st IPv4 attached to a running instance is free. now even having an IPv4 is charged, even if it's a random dynamic-assigned IPv4. ![]() |

QUOTE(kwss @ Dec 13 2023, 01:41 AM) Thank you so much for digging it back! i am playing a waiting game. That ONR is a sneaky move by TM. All these while the ONU is a demarc and clearly TM owned. Whatever upgrade or failure, it is their responsibility. With the ONR, the customer have to pay for it but we cannot buy any PON hardware of our own? At the same time, TM can provide a proper ONU to Maxis customer. With the FSU, can we tell TM we use our hardware? Not gonna pay the RM xyz to them, but also not gonna renew the contract. Previously, the contract is only 12 months. Now it is straight up 24 months for everyone. I am very sure it will be more expensive than RM188 now, given that they removed the pricing from the FAQ. I hope they will just provide a proper ONU as a demarc and be done with it. when the technology is right, i'll put a proper VLAN-capable solution at the fibre edge instead, handling and sending vlan500 and vlan400 to downstream where they are handled separately. i want to redelegate the ultra ONR only as phone ATA. i received 3 ultra ONR altogether, should be more than enough spares for a long time. |

QUOTE(joehann @ Dec 13 2023, 04:37 PM) Guys, just want to ask, can you add on/ subscribe netflix under unifi through unifi plus box? an advice.after waiting 2 hour for live chat, the CS mention that I have subscribe netflix since last month in which I never did since I already subscribe to Netflix on my own. Then, I've check under my entertaiment pack and walauwei suddenly got Netflix A la Carte Standard under ala-carte since 18 October 2023. I never know about it and never activate and login to it. if you have existing payment method with your current account, stop and remove that payment method first. then re-activate using same existing id but through unifi's. i previously made the mistake of using unifi's netflix activation link WITH [my existing netflix id paid through ASTRO]. it was a hassle to get ASTRO to let go of my netflix id. QUOTE(joehann @ Dec 13 2023, 05:38 PM) In my app dont show anything, only at dashboard through unifi website and only show this. there is nothing below account recovery. memang suruh buat ACCOUNT RECOVERY!failing that: (1) contact netflix and ask how do you login when all you have is id such@unifi. is that even a valid login id? and if it is, tell them it's not an email that belongs to you. (2) ask unifi to delete and create new netflix activation, send to you. again, that id is not even an email, nor it belongs to you. you can't do anything with it. QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 14 2023, 09:55 AM) if i still have about 8 months of contract for my unifi, and my cousin one is also under contract (not sure how many months left), is it still possible for me to transfer my unifi account to her? transfer ownership, probably possible while still under contract. transfer fee apply. penalty, not sure, but don't think so as line is not cancelled.1 premise can have up to 3 accounts OF DIFFERENT OWNERS. if intent is to merge premise, i suggest don't transfer ownership, just move it. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 14 2023, 11:46 AM) can meh? i address can have 3 accounts? sure bo.. u mean on the same BTU can have multiple unifi accounts at the same time? i heard about 1 BTU can have unifi or maxis (or celcom/digi etc) at the same time. but never heard about the former. i enquired fewmonths ago in anticipation that i might need to move from rental home (unifi) to own home (maxis), plus, both sides are on contract, so termination was not possible sans penalty. i confirm the unifi agent told me, 1) 1 premise can only have 1 fibre (my understanding it means HSBB fibre, if got maxis or time then of course they don't mind pull totally another fibre). 2) that 1 fibre can be used by 1 ISP, e.g. cannot mix unifi and maxis. 3) unifi allow up to 3 accounts in same premise (fibre, i think), owned by different identities. cannot have multiple unifi accounts using same identity. i remember going through TnC afterward; there is mention that you can have up to a number of fibre registrations under 1 identity, but each at different premises. QUOTE(joehann @ Dec 15 2023, 12:54 PM) Yeah, I cannot do account recovery as per the picture due to the email not belong to me. TM just call me just now and said I'm the one subscribing that netflix and through UPB. WHAT THE HELL. owh.... that makes a potential hazard to wallets.I open UPB and open netflix, suddenly already login to an account that I done even know exist. what make it more funny is that the email address is like ttttttttttt@gmail.com. Even if my son open the app through UPB, how easy it is to register and activate it without even a confirmation through email and SMS to me? from that email address pattern, can guess it's somebody malas. but then, don't we need to activate netflix through email verification before it even charges? i think you can unsubscribe for now. subscribe anew after a month or 2 under your own control. or to be safe, use your pre-existing netflix subscription as placeholder in UPB in the meantime. QUOTE(joehann @ Dec 15 2023, 01:07 PM) Yeah, I plan to report to MCMC due to hidden subscription by unifi without customer consent since there is no email or sms to confirm the subscription and that tttttttt@gmail.com is probably not a valid email. TM already charge me 2 month of netflix fees total RM110. gila call TM to cancel ala-carte subscription. But the thing is, I can't access the account page through netflix app in UPB so I don't know how can I terminate the account. in UPB's android app management, clear data+cache to forget existing login. then login using your own to get it under you own control. and don't do it in front of the kids, later they'll repeat. |

QUOTE(joehann @ Dec 15 2023, 01:41 PM) Ok thanks for the advise. I already called 100 to cancel but still need to wait for them to proceed. It's gonna be tough since no one know the address and whether netflix can simply terminate the account if we only know the email address. yeah, just get unifi to cancel being a payment method. don't use them again for few months for thing to settle down. you can just abandon the netflix email account.. it's not like it's valid email that you have access to. just use your own existing netflix id in UPB to prevent your family from redo the mess again. β’ disable unnecessary pre-installed apps where possible, or just sign in to all available app in UPB to prevent. β’ to avoid your family from installing additional app into UPB (it have 16GB space wehhh), disable play store app. i did this and my kids cannot install android games as they please, and they can't figure out why only i can make play store working. QUOTE(joehann @ Dec 16 2023, 10:31 AM) This should be the case since they are like one of the payment method. Just cancel the payment method only. no need to have the access to my netflix account. Just now they call me again saying that the can't cancel it since they don't have the info to my account. From here you can see on how F**k *p their activation method that anybody can simply activate it through UPB and TM simply agree to it without any confirmation sent to my email or sms to my number. Big "F" if they say cannot find to remove the ala-carte; it's bloody inside your bill, with your bill number, with your account number printed out "loud" on the paper. Now I'm stuck to cancel the netflix myself without any password and only the email address which is tttttttttttttttt@gmail.com. its like 16 times of t. tried same 16 t for password but it is incorrect. Raise a dispute with TM to challenge the bill's line item. Raise a request to get the ala-carte removed. What you need is report number. Get report number. This is what i think of your case: β’ obviously somebody "lazy" activated through your UPB, so you cannot avoid responsibility for failure to secure your device. β’ having it activated using "tttttttt...@" email address is the best supporting evidence right now that it can't be you, nor will you ever have access to such stupendous email account to be able to gain control through netflix password reset. β’ your objective is to get the ala-carte removed. β’ you have to accept the charges right now as you yourself found that somebody "lazy" did activate ala-carte after all. β’ impossible for TM to not be able to find the ala-carte "unique id" linked to your account and get it removed. β’ but insist that you shouldn't be charged further for their failure to get it removed as you are now already requesting it removed, on-the-record. If they fail to remove the ala-carte which is evidently charged inside your bill AND you have report number to prove you have raised dispute and request to remove ala-carte but denied (under bollocks like "we cannot find it"), you can then proceed to raise SKMM ticket. (when i tried to create case against ASTRO last month, the SKMM ticket now required that a report was already raised with and dispensed by the provider first, and SKMM ticket now asked to input the report number raised with ASTRO. previously it didn't ask the report number.) There is "Contact Us". There is a code number there. That number is unique for that point of time you are seeing that screen. see image below. ![]() I am hoping Netflix can help you reset password FIRST, so you can login to the account of that stupendous email. the ultimate goal is to replace that tttt...@gmail with something else you have control over. (or why not you just attempt to really create tttttt...@gmail account and really have access to reset password etc of this netflix account) Try call Netflix and see if they are able to help you gain access by password reset. You might need them to create a password on your behalf since if they send email link to reset password, you can't receive it anyway. OR, get them to immediately change ttttt...@gmail to something else that you have access to (might need to create that email address before you call netflix). -- impress Netflix on these points: β’ Your UPB should be the only device ever logged in to the account β’ ... ever since its creation β’ ... somebody had created Netflix account without your permission β’ ... on android tv device that is provided by and linked to your unifi subscription β’ ... you have been charged by Unifi ever since β’ ... that email address is stupendously stupid and definitely you will never have access to such email in the first place β’ ... and you can prove you have immediate access to the device (by refreshing and reading them that dynamic number as many time they want) -- longer term, after gaining access to this paid-by-unifi and if unifi keep refusing to remove itself as payment method; β’ stop paying your pre-existing paid-by-something-else netflix account β’ ... and switch that pre-existing to use another another another email β’ ... swap the pre-existing email address to this paid-by-unifi netflix account |
