WTF is wrong with unifi. I have 300Mbps plan and it's around 80 Mbps atm. It's been like this for at least 4-5 days now. I report this to their twitter every single day. Yesterday they reset port and it was back to normal speed. Now it's slow again.

Is there any solution to this? Are there better ISP? I don't have TIME here so that's out of the question. I'm really sick of this. I pay monthly on time just for this shit speed.

My unifi speed is 500mbps (SWU3.0 300mbps with free upgrade), but recently it left only around 100mbps download when downloading/run speedtest, while the upload speed is normal which is 100mbps(for 500mbps package). Restarting router does not fix it and QOS is not enabled on router. Last time is able to reach 500mbps just recently drop to 100mbps.Any idea how to solve this issue?

My speed is 300 mbps but it's around 90mbps atm. This shit has been happening since the beginning of this month. Restarting the modem doesn't help. They reset the port once and it was stable for a few days. I'm sick of this shit. I pay monthly according to time but unifi service is complete garbage. No compensation whatsoever.

Get them to send technician to your house. Probably issue with the infra or speed capped.
Make sure you get what you paid for.

I've contacted unifi on twitter and no reply yet. i doubt it's the issue with my line. seems like lots of people are experiencing this. before this month, unifi is decently stable except during evening. the speed shows normal but loading time on discord, twitter etc gets terribly slow and ping increases.

Recently upgraded last weekend to 1Gbps with black Dlink combo modem+router. Now its on bridge mode and connected to my TP-Link AX73 router. Bandwidth speed went down to 300mbps just a day after and had it restored to 1Gbps after getting a cust service agent reset the port. That fix didn't last more than 2 days before going down to 300mbps again. Should I call Unifi again and have a technician look at the provided modem+router combo?

I'm actually suspecting it's a thermal throttling issue because it runs at 1Gbps again after restarting the modem+router.
*
I'm experiencing the exact same thing. They did port reset earlier and the speed is now back to normal. But the issue will come back again after a few days. That's been the norm for me this month. I don't think it's modem/ router issue. But maybe give them a call yeah. This didn't happen before. It started early this month for me.

I have a 300Mbps plan (no longer in contract). I thought I could upgrade to 500Mbps with 3 months waiver for RM149 per month. When I contacted unifi, they said it's only for new customers. Is there any info about stay with unifi promo? The customer support told me to go to TM Point. What are the plans and which one should I go for?

300mbps rm99
500mbps rm139
1Gbps rm159

All with free 6 months usage and without UnifiTV

1Gbps for RM 159 sounds too good to be true but I hope it is. Do you need to say any specific words to unlock this package at TM Point like in a game? Lmao

Just mention the plan you want. Tell them Maxis also offer 1gbps for Rm159, or else you gonna jump over.
*
So I gotta go up to the counter and ask for the 1Gbps for RM 159 package? That's it? Do I have to mention SWU package or whatsoever? Is there a possibility where they say no to that?

do update back once you stopped by TM Point to ask;
as far as i know the RM159 for 1Gbps plan is actually 500 Mbps plan with speed upgrade to 1Gbps for 24 months, and after that it will drop back to 500Mbps
Have to mention SWU package and specifically stating "500Mbps with speed upgrade to 1Gbps for 24 months" previously.
Not sure if there's any change as of now

Thanks for the info. I'm going to the TM Point this sunday. Will update later

So I went to the TM Point to ask about the SWU.
My current plan is 300Mbps for RM129.

Here are the plans offered.
300Mbps for RM119 + 6 months free + unifi mobile RM40 x 6 months
300Mbps for RM 129 + Sharp TV for 36 months contract

500 Mbps for RM 159 + 6 months free + unifi mobile RM40 x 6 months
(didn't ask about the TV option because I'm not interested in it)

1Gbps for RM259 + (I think it comes with 6 months free as well?)

I even pulled out my phone and showed the guy at the counter the Maxis 1Gbps for RM159 offer. He said it's way too cheap and they might possibly cap our data without us knowing. He even claimed a friend of his found out about his maxis fibre speed being throttled down a year later. There's no way to verify his story so that's that.
I don't know which one to pick.
Is Maxis as reliable as Unifi? 1Gbps for RM159 sounds very tempting. Do they increase the price after the contract ends? (Edit: Nvm. You need to be using Maxis postpaid plans to get this price)
Or should I go with (300Mbps for RM119 + 6 months free + unifi mobile RM40 x 6 months) hmm.gif

What the heck? What was your previous plan? Did you say anything specific to be offered that plan? Didn't they force any unifi mobile plan at all? I went to TM Point Alor Setar.

Good sharing for current SWU offer. Imo if you do not need the speed of 1gbps, the Rm119 plan is more than enough.
Maxis is as reliable as Unifi, can still steadily load websites and do streaming when others are screaming hell about Unifi poor connection at night. The speed cap is done by TM side. for example I subscribed 100mbps can only get around 94-95mbps, whereas same infra on Unifi get 105mbps. Hence sales person always use this point to counter people switching out from Unifi to make ppl feel bad about their competitors.
*
That's scummy.
300Mbps is enough for now but 1Gbps for RM159 sounds worth it in the future. To be able to get that speed with SWU 2 years down the line, I'll need to take the 500Mbps now, yeah? Still thinking about it.

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Dec 30 2024, 09:15 AM)
Not worth it , I wonder why maxis can provide cheaper alternative ?

Should have SWU5.0 since maxis already have better offer.300mbps rm99 ,500 rm139,  1Gbps rm159.

Godhand73 swu4 still need unifi mobile ?
*
Yes. You either need to take the unifi mobile (6 months) or the TV (3 year contract).
Also you need to be using certain Maxis postpaid plans to be able to get the limited offers.

I have a question. My current plan is 300Mbps. Can I get 500Mbps for RM119 with SWU 5.0 or not?

3 scenario
1- out of contract. yes u can
2- in contract rm119/mth but u wanna take the higher speed swu rm249, yes u can. no penalty
3- in contract swu4.0 rm159 but u wanna downgrade swu5.0 rm119. yes u can but need to pay penalty remaining month contract left
*
I am out of contract. When I went to TM Point last year, the guy said I'll need to pay RM159 for 500Mbps. Which is why I'm confused. I messaged the guy on Whatsapp but there's no reply
