Anyhow, if we "the important family member " who always help to check on the Home internet line, dies.... then in 24 months, if it reverts to normal price with no discount....I sincerely hope, someone else in the family is "smart and motivated" enough to continue monitor what TM is charging them for internet.

And again, stop making assumption for things that u dunno. I went and they offer me SWU 500mb for rm139. Which is more expensive than my current rm129. That is why I didn't opt for it. I believe alot of users like me waiting for SWU 5.0 or better deal to renew. Since someone mentioned about speed bump to 1gb. that is l why I am asking on terminate in the apps if possible for SWU or better deal. If anyone tried that before do share. Thanks.

My bro house FSU last year from 300>500, last month free upgrade again from 500>800, but he claimed that speed test can't even reach 500 now, in addition lantency not stable, phots & videos loading also slow at night

Depend, the good side for UniFi is fast repair and 99% uptime, you hardly seek those benefit from others.
If you really need stable oversea high speed, TM ISP + VPN is always the best solution, else, moving to SG which is where the server located, lol.

For low cost, guess only Time?
But Time downtime is not during midnight la, 99% of my UniFi downtime maintenance is midnight, and it take 1-2 hours only.

If you wish to lower down your cost, best is to downgrade to 300mbps rm119. For 500mbps, the price is around that rm139 range.

I went to TMPOINT last week, the 300mbps offered is now RM99

SWU plan and no need to bundle with Unifi postpaid. I took the 1Gbps offer, RM159 with free 6 months and free 6 months of Disney Hotstar

If you're not that heavy downloader and household not that big, 300mbps package seems damn worth it. Like me, my household is big and all of us eat bandwidth for meals, so, really prefer the 1Gbps

So conclusion, new plan as below,
300mb rm99
500mb rm139 free upgrade to 800mb with 3 months waiver
1gb RM159 6 months waiver + Disney

Usually yes. In my case TM called to counter offer (500mbps@RM129/month + 6 months free + mesh router set), but I declined the offer (because even 1Gbps@RM99/month would be pointless when their international routing koyak every night) and confirmed my transfer request. Note that the TM person calling you with the counter offer most likely doesn’t know the full details of the plan you’re switching to, so you can buaya a bit (like tell them Maxis are giving you 6 months free, even if you got only 3 months from the agent) to get a better offer, but don’t go overboard and say unrealistic stuff. Be mindful that any counter offer you agree to will come with a 2 year contract.

Still waiting for installer. TM called to verify transfer only two days ago. Can’t give any comparisons for now.
There’s always an element of risk involved with changing ISP. Can only hope for the best.
