I am wondering should I make a report that my bridge keeps dropping to 300Mbps after some times and stays at that speed all the ways.

Does anyone manage to resolve the dropped speed via bridging issue via TM technical troubleshooting?

This is coming from D-link 3060 right? My client's using this model and i lodged a report to TM and request to change to stand alone modem aka BTU.

So far after changed it no issue with the dropping speed.

Btw using 1gb package right now
*
You mean can request changing to BTU? I tot no more BTU anymore coz all packages now using ONR combo.

Like that can wor....I can try request for BTU even tho I already have an old one.

Guys...just wanna ask anything I can do to eliminate intermittent dc issue for my unifi? everytime I need to restart the router in order to be able to re-connect back....

The issue start happen after unifi upgrade my package from 800Mbps to 1Gbps and change my ZTE modem + Fiberhome router to D-Link router+modem.....I have grown fedup with unifi even after so many calls they seems like not capable to do anything.....

I will change to Maxis after my 2years contract ended.....zzzz
*
Did you not call them to change the router to another one preferable with different model or brand as it is faulty?
Coz we only encounter dropped speed when do bridging, not when using it as a router. Yours is a different issue altogether.

Finally after setting up ONU in bridged mode with GT-AX11000.. but only can get this result via Wi-Fi due to only have one 2.5Gbps port..

Wah...my Asus AX11000 got problem with the black D-Link under bridge mode. Will dropped to 300Mbps, don't know when will drop, sometime next day, etc. Once dropped, it will stay at 300Mbps unless reboot. In the end, I have to switch back to old Huawei modem. That one won't drop no matter how long I leave it on.

But even using ONU bridging using the Dlink 2.5GB router, I will still only get 850++ to 930 Mbps only. Only when using Dlink in router mode under wifi can get over 1GB. But that router is way less efficient that my own Asus router...

I also asked technician to test gpon router mode first but internet do not up even after few minutes.. then, I asked him to change to bridge mode and use it until now.. hope mine does not drop to 300Mbps.. the black Dlink DPN-FX30060V right?
*
Yep, I save a copy of config for the working router mode in case my own Asus goes down one day and I can revert the Dlink router into router mode for emergency usage.
Now good with the old Huawei modem but that modem is aging, just crossed my finger that it will last for some time.

Hi All, I've got email and sms from unifi stated that my new speed upgrade for unifi account are now live and update to my profile on 24th September 2024,
funny thing that the speed still 800Mbps, in the email

New Speed : 800
Old Speed : 800
I Pay Monthly : RM221.25

In Apps = Plan name = Unifi Home 800Mbps - Pro Upgrade

I think their website only have 1Gbps and no 800Mbps ... now I wonder if this is only gimmick saying i have new speed but it's still the same? dry.gif  dry.gif

My current unifi under contract till april next year

huh.gif  huh.gif

Anybody have any clue regarding this?

Check your upload speed, if can hit 500mbps, even if your download speed is 800++ Mbps, it is a 1GB plan.

The firmware upgrade must get Telekom come and do it?
*
Ya, I also want to ask this question. Right now, the new router in bridge mode is in the storage cabinet.

Even if I plug it back in, I don't think bridge have direct access to internet itself (unlike router mode), I may be wrong. So how to update the firmware on it unless Telekom has the firmware ready for us to download from website and then upload the firmware into the router itself?

In August, I put the black Dlink 2.5GBE into bridge mode and it encountered the drop to 300Mbps. So I chunk it away and use back the Huawei Modem.

Now I try to upgrade the firmware to 2.0.3 that are supposed to resolve the issue.

So I chuck in the Dlink Bridge mode back and connect it to my Asus Router. The internet worked the same as Huawei...

Then I got stumped coz I forgot if I change the IP address of DLink router when we set it up first as router with address 192.168.1.1 (same as my Asus router). Then afterward, we change it to bridge mode. I am not sure but I think we likely change it back to 192.168.0.1 or whatever...I cannot remember.

Is there anyway to find out the bridge IP address while connected to Asus Router or when connect directly to PC using ethernet cable?

So now I have the Dlink router still working as bridge to my Asus router. But I don't know how to access the router to update the firmware. I tried direct connect with cable to Dlink router and use the default 192.168.0.1 to access but cannot connect. I tried change the comp IP address to 192.168.0.2 wit mask 255.255.255.0 in case need use same IP segment. Cannot.

I tried to access the bridge using 192.168.0.1 while connected to Asus router (working with the bridge)...Still no connection. Now I am lost...how to access the bridge. How to find out what IP address is the Dlink router although my web history indicated it likely should be 192.168.0.1 but still no connection?

If the IP is correct, then how to access the bridge as I have tried accessing the IP address while connected to Asus router and also tried direct cable connect to bridge still cannot access.

Or I have hard reset the bridge but lost all setting inside to access back using 192.168.0.1. My Asus router is 192.168.1.1. Can the bridge be 192.168.0.1 and asus still automatically access it or should I set it to 192.168.1.0 (as I am not sure which IP address is the current bridge)

If you haven't change anything on the DLink combo box, you can find the default IP, login details on the sticker at the bottom of the combo box.

However, if you have already tweaked the DLink combo box but can't remember your settings, you can always reset the combo box and start your setup again.
*
The only thing I am not sure is the IP address. I have all the other configs.

But if IP is correct, then how to access the DLink Router in Bridge mode? Direct cable connection or can access directly in my current wifi (via Asus router with Dlink bridge).
Will 192.168.0.1 in browser worked straight away or is the some setup I have to do to access the bridge? I asked this coz I think 192.168.0.1 can access it last time during the setup (based on my browser history) but now cannot. Do I have to change the IP address of WIFI to 192.168.0.2 to access the router (if the address is 192.168.0.1). Anyway to find out the bridge IP address?

I am wary of hard reset tho coz now the bridge is working with all configuration but if I hard reset it, I had to reconfigure everything again and not sure if it can work. So I will hard reset as last resort. So I want to find a way to access the bridge router to update the firmware without the last resort hard reset.

As last resort, my Asus router gateway is 192.168.1.1. If I reset the Dlink Router, what IP address should I put to use as bridge. Can DLink 192.168.0.1 default IP worked directly as bridge to my Asus 192.168.1.1? Or I have to change it to 192.168.1.0 or something with same segment.

If I restore the router config from a backup file, the IP will change to the backup....that will be the IP that I cannot access. I don't have the manual config setting. So the only other way is to call Unifi to come reset and then upgrade the firmware.

Power on the D-Link with the fiber disconnected.
Connect your computer directly to the D-Link.
Then only you try a few different IP manually.

This will rule out TM's OMCI kill switch.
*
Did that from the beginning. I connect the cable directly to DLink (standalone).

Based on my web history, it showed that I still access web 192.168.0.1 to admin screen on the day after the installation. So that should be it.

Do I need to change my PC IP address if Dlink bridge has no DHCP? Tried that tho, 192.168.0.2 with subnet 255.255.255.0 on PC to access 192.168.0.1.

Now if I do hard reset and screwed the setting, wait Unifi tech say I screwed up myself and possible charge me.
So in the end, might have to call unifi for troubleshooting avoiding hard reset.

The fact that the bridge still worked when plug in means no corruption.
Wonder any way to identify IP of bridge thru the PC?
Assuming IP is correct, then what has gone wrong that I can't use web 192.168.0.1 to access it?

I am doing all this assuming 2.0.3 will likely resolved the 300mbps speed drop issue.

How about you try connecting to other LAN port on the D-Link?

Yes you need to manually set the IP address if there's no DHCP.

If you have the PON password then that's all you need to make it work again after reset. If you use the phone service then the PIN too.
*
PON is PLOAM right, that one I got after seen post asking to record that down.
I guess if all else fail, I will try do hard reset later.

So if my router is 192.168.1.1, is the default DLink 192.168.0.1 ip ok.

Right now my Asus router can connect the DLink bridge directly, same as my Huawei.

LAN 4 and not LAN 1ya. http://dlinkrouter.local works too.
*
LAN Port 4....This is the ONE I missed. Hahaha. I tried port 1 to 3 but never tried port 4 coz by default port 4 I assume reserved for hppetv, so never cross my mind to use port 4.

I managed to access it now, the IP is correct. Port 4 is the key.....thank you thank you. Such a simple solution that is there all the time, somehow I just skipped port 4 automatically without thinking.

800Mbps plan but only 200Mbps upload speed? Wtf 🤪

Aiyo, this are the norm for Unifi home since the beginning, last time 40Mbps download with 5 MB upload. It least the 800Mbps give a quarter upload speed.

The tm tech is here, the modem is in bridge mode, he can’t access the modem web interface to update firmware.  Any idea? Thanks.
*
I don't get why cannot if he is tm tech unless the modem corrupt liao.

Mine with guidance from posters here just remind me to plug the cable from laptop TO port 4.

I have tried accessing the modem using the correct ip address and can't even connect to modem for a few days without avail.....only to be reminded from posters here that we NEED to connect directly to PORT 4 ONLY to access the modem while in bridge mode. Other port just does not work and can't access the web interface.

Then I uploaded the firmware that I got here to the modem. Worked so far.

6 month bro.. thats really a long journey

as for me its simple, i pay xxx amount for xxx speed subscribed. Lower than advertise/subscribed speed means provider fail to deliver services. so ill just make a report.
been practicing this since Unifi VIP5 package 2012

so far this current issue is the longest time takes by TM to fix which is 10days. So ill just request for rebate on bill starting from the 1st report on 15jan until they fix it
on 24 jan. Total 9 days pro rate

actually all subscriber especially those ultra 1gbps/2gbps speed entitled for full speed 1000mbps/2000mbps and above. Its just most of subscriber be just like ahhh its ok
940mbps is enough no need to dig in more. "Bersyukurlah"... No report lodge, so TM just being ignorance doesnt upgrade their cabinet equipment until they are
facing continuous report
*
Are u using the black DLink as a router directly or using it as a bridge when you achieve the 1K download speed?

I don't understand why people said Dlink DPN-FX3060V limited to 940Mbps. This is my own-borrowed white DPN-FX3060V using 800Mbps unifi.

*
I tot the 940Mbps limit is when using the DLink as a bridge. If direct using as router, got no such problem especially when using WIFI.

I asked them for the admin password, they give.

I recorded their combo configuration (save the config file while they are there). Then when they switch to bridge, I did the same save just in case and record the ploam password, etc.

Yup, my CCTV dvr just upgraded last year from requiring DDNS Public IP access that specific configuration in our router to zero configuration in router. Can just change router without copying any CCTV configuration.
