Hi sifu sifu HR.

I would like to tender my resignation soon as I have a better offer otw. Currently serving with 1 month notice. I wanted to check if my company closes for the year end (22nd onwards) and I tender my resignation today, will i be compensated for the full month or until the 22nd only? Can they choose to cut short my notice period?

I'm just wondering if I need to prep myself to have additional funds if I don't get full salary for the month of January 2024.

Thanks in advance!

If you continue working and didn't tender, will you get full salary for December? That also applies to your notice period.

Also, they company cannot cut short your notice period without compensation.

I see. But would they actually ask to leave earlier therefore don't need to pay the 23rd onwards?

They can't. If either party does not wish to honor the notice period, then they need to compensate. Unless your company is chinaman company.
