When we use roaming for any Msia telco overseas, all data routed back to your Malaysia telco servers, Malaysia IP address.  It's as though you are in Malaysia. That's why you can watch Astro Go while on roaming but if you watch Astro Go overseas even with a Malaysia VPN, it won't work.

Yup. It is a nice thing to have.

I am happy with CelcomDigi yellow plan so far. Cheap and quite good. Cannot get anything similar at rm25 only per month.

Their roaming plan is also quite reasonable.

My Hotlink Pantas has this RM25. Doesn't seem as good. Perhaps it has uncapped 5G but that's not important for me.

Maybe there's a better RM25 plan?

he said after june woh?

i had used hotlink until early this year this year only changed to celcomdigi kuning rm25... so far i have not seen any pass on hotlink prepaid that can beat this... 30GB data (4G/5G) and 6GB hotspot with unlimited calls. so far no prepaid plan can beat this...

not to mention that now still have extra 24gb hotspot + free 10GB until june...

anyway.. if there is really better hotlink prepaid is out, i can always port back to hotlink too...

but until then, celcomdigi kuning rm25 is the best so far... tongue.gif

Hi, want to confirm, does it means Edisi Kuning perks are only till end of June? I thought whoever subscribed before n continue with the plan will still get the perks as the site say:
"Tawaran Pengenalan:
Daftar sebelum 30 Jun untuk nikmati Internet 10GB dan 5X Hotspot ekstra".
*
yes until 30 June only...

after that will become 30GB for rm25...

to be fair, it is enough for me actually.

i still have 25.48GB free to use for the next 10 days...
i am on 30GB + 10GB (free, limited time) now...

Unfortunately my Hotlink pantas plan did not have this package
And Hotlink prepaid no eSIM  mad.gif

Is it? So only the latest hotlink prepaid plan has this monthly pass?

I think so then. Becos I was on the pantas plan (the one with 365 validity) and I did not see this option.

This was the reason why I ported out to celcomdigi kuning rm25.

Yes no esim is a biggest drawback for hotlink. Digi esim is even free.

Hi folks that use Celcomdigi Postpaid 5G SE.

How has the 5g speed been? Saw that it is supposedly capped to 100mbps.

Do you know if it uses Celcom or Digi network, or does it use both? Couldn't find the info in FAQ.

Right now, I am comparing the Celcomdigi Postpaid 5G SE RM40 plan vs Hotlink Postpaid RM 45.

Hotlink doesn't cap the speed, which is nice. However they have specific data bucket for 5G only versus Celcomdigi that combines the data bucket of 4G and 5G together.
*
can test the 5g for u today. i still have 17.24GB left for one day++ of validity...

celcomdigi has no differentiation between 4g and 5g data for their quota is a plus.

Same as your case ,

Yesterday , i swith my Digi Prepaid Best 2017 to Celcom Digi Prepaid 5G Kuning .
After changed plan , the VoLTE went missing , no useful for restart , re-insert the sim card .
Then I go to digi app the support page , get in touch the General Enquiry for " Account and subscription" and list out this issue , then
today noon CelcomDigi reactivate my VoLTE already , very fast response .

Previoulsy I use Umobile GX30 already around 3 years , RM 30 for unlimit data with 6 Mbps + 6 GB Hotspot . Last month i got offer RM15 for GX30 . this month offer gone .
Then i switch to this digi plan RM 25 with 30GB + 6 GB Hotspot , i save RM 5 per month and feel network speed faster than umobile.

Generally , i use less than 10 GB/month , use for Ewallet payment, parking app , message , call , so no need more data , because home and office will auto connector to UNIFI
currently this digi plan is suitable for me , it is a good prepaid plan .

I used CelcomDigi for 15 months as main line and Maxis as secondary.  Then I swapped my Maxis to main line after 15 mths because CelcomDigi prefers to connect to 4G network rather than 5G when compared to Maxis.  My guess is CelcomDigi has to pay DNB for every GB data, therefore,  they rather connect its subscribers to its 4G network.

Even when I was with CelcomDigi, their network not stable and always have connection issues.  After I swap to Maxis as my main line, all these issues gone.  Maxis is not perfect but they are much more stable and better than CelcomDigi. So, if your office/residence has good Maxis coverage, then I advice you to port to Maxis. You will see the difference. This is based on my personal experience with CelcomDigi for 15 months before I ported back to Maxis.
*
not exactly, to me the experience is opposite, celcom/digi has decent speed comparing to maxis. i was using hotlink previously and I am using celcomdigi yellow plan on digi network now...

Decided to switch to celcomdigi biru from Kuning.

Somehow I found that the coverage for Digi is not so good. Not sure if changed to celcom will be improved or not. But just try it out.

Although the amount of high speed for biru vs Kuning is a lot lesser.

15gb vs 30 + 10gb

But given my monthly usage now should be sufficient.

Hope they can harness best part for both telcos, from xpax prepaid to celcomdigi yellow edition, the internet connection/coverage seems like a downgrade

Yes I also think that celcom has better coverage. I have been using Kuning one for few months now. Decided to switch to biru to try.

requested for port in to celcom at celcom centre at about 10am++. received digi port out confirmation sms at 2:24pm and replied immediately...

then 8:27pm ported succesfully to celcom. smile.gif

but i was surprised my credit in my celcomdigi kuning was gone.. luckily only rm1.70++ left inside...

i tot now celcom and digi merged already.. the credit will be retained.. but who knows actually they still work as two separate companies actually.

and be warned that even u are under celcomdigi kuning and u MNP to biru, the credits inside is not transferrable.

Celcomdigi biru plan has a biggest flaw which the iMessage could not be activated.

Damn. No prob with celcomdigi kuning previously. Time to switch back to kuning next month…

And celcomdigi biru has no esim rite? Another disadvantage for biru.

Regretted to port to celcomdigi biru plan.

1) iMessage and FaceTime not working - completely cannot activate them. No such issue when I was on hotlink and celcom digi kuning plans.

2) no esim. From the website faq, it stated that esim is only for postpaid. Not sure how true is it. But kuning one has esim option for sure.

3) lower data quota - for the same price, kuning has 30GB + 10gb high speed data and biru only has 15gb only. While I was on kuning my usage is low at less than 5gb used after 30 days with kuning. I activated my biru rm25 plan on 14 July. My data left with less than 5gb now only less than 9 days of usage. While one may argues that the usage pattern may vary each month. However, with less than 9 days I already left less than 5gb, while my usage pattern is still similar as before, it is questionable if data usage ran faster on biru.

Nevertheless my guess is that my data may use up this week then this sat I will go to switch back to kuning instead.

Do you have that annoying voicemail notification with Kuning? I recently switched to DiGi and am very annoyed with the constant voicemail notification on the phone app. Checked on Lowyat and it says that the issue has been going on since few years back. Need to go through complicated process with customer service to get rid of it. I end up changing to biru. For my usage, RM39 package is more than enough. Indoor coverage for me also not bad. Better than Kuning imo.
*
When I was on kuning, I called them to terminate voicemail immediately when I ported over.

For biru.
U can use request to terminate the voicemail on the website contact them page.

No issue for both on the voicemail since both terminated.

Rm39 plan for the same data I just need to pay rm25 for kuning only.
