Why not? Don't let age stop ya bro, could be a good comeback for you. It's never to late for it..there is bunch of martial arts gym around kl/Klang valley itself so it's just a matter of googling the place

I’ve taken up boxing for the past 3 years - here’s some misconception people have:

1. I take boxing purely for fitness, not for combat sport, and did ZERO spar, nor do i even have the slightest interest in sparring. I’m middle aged.

2. As an obese dude, and if your goal is to lose fat - i will advice AGAINSTS boxing. Get into boxing a year or so after you dipped your toe in other more “beginner-friendly” stuff ie.weightlifting.

Boxing will completely fuck-drain your life outta you, even a normal routine of 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 or any variation of punches WITHOUT full power, you will not last 5minit, hell u won’t be able to complete a meaningful boxing set.

But i know - ppl won’t believe, so i urge you to try first.

My routine damn simple, 4 variation of 3 to 5 hit punches, rest like 5 seconds, and go at it again, complete 10rep, and repeat for 5 to 8 set. I’ve thrown the same punches thousands of times, at least i know how to punch now

36 is the new 26. Go ahead and follow your dreams. You may not be able to become a professional boxer but you still have a good time by doing something that you like to do.

Don't think, just do

A lot of people think too much to start a workout, asking here and there for opinions and in the end nothing happen

The only things that stop you is yourself. Do first think later whether it suits you or not.

you can start any sports at any age unless you have medical condition or your body can't take it

you can start will simple moves first and evaluate whether your body ready for more intense workout

a lot of youtube video shows that individuals that are in their 50-80s are working out intensively like body building, calisthenics, boxing, running, etc
