another FYI to everyone, today i went back to maxis center because noticed my 4g backup dongle that i always leave it plug into the router is giving red light status only to notice maxis had terminated my 4g backup when i did my ownership transfer last week, so the new family plan doesnt have 4g backup anymore, not the same as shown in their off-ficial website.

This was my bill from maxis since i subscribe 2 years ago.

i took some time to check their FAQ, for family plan indeed didnt mention it comes with 4g backup anymore, maxis silently removed it, while the postpaid + fiber FAQ did mention it comes with 4g backup.

It gives me the feeling that maxis is trying to degrade the family plan and kick everyone to the new postpaid plan and fiber instead.....

Old or legacy plan is better because it is cheaper.

Looks like Maxis RM299 Family Plan will stay with the 30mbps broadband, was hoping they will upgrade it before committing to the 2 years contract hmm.gif

they want to suck as much money as they could, because MCMC new pricing doesn't affect other plans that comes with fibre. Hopefully MCMC will enforce the new pricing for every plan including this Maxis Family Plan

I reached out to Maxis Customer Service to inquire about a potential free upgrade for my Family Plan, which encompasses 8 main lines and an additional sub-line, making a total of 9 lines with a current fibre speed of 300mbps. Their response was that no upgrades are available due to the plan's existing low cost. Despite its affordability, I was disheartened to discover that not only are there no plans for future enhancements, but also the maximum speed for Family Plan subscribers is limited to 800mbps. As a dedicated customer, this apparent disregard for service improvement is disappointing and has led me to consider ending my association with Maxis.

Hi, for the additional supplementary line, may I know what type of package is it?

Coz I'm now looking at the RM299 Family Plan since I'm using 4 lines now, but might need the 5th line soon.

Thanks

since rm499 family plan can have only 8 person, CS said that you can add a sub-line for rm48++ for it. In your case, I think that Maxis will recommend you to get the rm399 one, which have 6 slots. I'm not sure if you can add rm48 for sub-line or not, need to ask CS.

Thanks for the info. Checked back the T&C and found that each package is entitled for 1 extra RM48 supplementary line biggrin.gif
