A win is a win!

In fact, we shouldnt go into the cave anymore. Embrace the norm as midtable team.

Sokong. Every win we should celebrate.

We have been changing managers many times without finding success. All sorts of managers.

Those in before have pointed out the rot at the club runs deep, all the way from the dressing room to the staff. The one event that could change it is the new CEO and new DOF that Sir Ratcliffe wants to install. So for the first time, we will have a new club structure and we will see if that can be the base for success.

First thing that needs to be done is bring in a DOF

Manager should not be allowed to dictate the transfer target anymorey
*
Managers at Manchester United has never been able to dictate transfer policy since Sir Alex left.

There is a transfer committee which decides. The manager has a seat at the committee. So does the DOF (Jon Murtough), the Chief Scout and a few others.

nothing new...

how much would maguire cost if other clubs were to buy? if he doesnt have an english passport. relegation expert jew

antony would cost must less if we just go for him early. same goes to martinez as well.

other big fee transfer pogba, sanchez, di maria were key players  at their previous seasons so no complaints.
*
Correct.

Antony would have cost around 25 - 30m if he had gone in earlier in the transfer window. But we waited until the end and panic bought. By that time, Ajax had completed all their business and didn't want to sell. They put a 100M sticker price to dissuade the club but we bought anyway.

This is purely down to the transfer strategy and negotiation that we have. Our transfer team needs a serious overhaul. A new DOF will be a first step.

I think while we share our views and frustrations at our ill form, it is important to keep in mind that nothing here will influence the club's decision nor should it degenerate into a Camp A vs Camp B kind of scenario.

Instead of a ETH in vs ETH out, I think it is more nuanced than that. It is not a binary position. For me as a supporter of the club, yes I am disappointed at the current run and what has been shown on the pitch, but still do not think sacking the manager is a solution at this point in time. Though I can understand why fans want a sacking.

We have a week's break from football. Here's to a better 2024.

Contract renewal for Lindelof and Varane?
The one name we should be talking about whose contract should not be renewed is Martial. If United renews Martial's contract, talk about sending the wrong message.

For me, I'll wait for the new management to start working before calling for ETH to be sacked.

If the new management give him the full support and he still failed to turn this team around, then by all means he need to be sacked.

Full support means including removing all the viruses in the locker room. Not just buying new players.
*
I share your views.

At the end of last season, my thoughts were ETH has bought himself two more seasons. This season and next.
With the disaster of this season and the huge change incoming for the club, next season will be key in determining his future at the club.

Will it be any different next season? For the first time, in over a decade, we will have a new CEO. Which hopefully means a new DOF and staff.
Plus the release of some problematic personalities in the dressing room at the end of the season.

Nobody can play well with bruno fernandes as he always plays the killer ball all the time
*
Apparently nobody in the team can match Bruno Fernandes too. Nobody in Europe has played more minutes in 2023 than Bruno with over 6000 minutes, and second place isn't even close.
How he stays available without visiting the medical room is something other players should take notes on.

United will not trigger Varane's contract extension.
Which means Varane can talk to other clubs from today and move for free in the summer.

When ETH was doing well, the top guy takes alot credit for hiring him... Now totally lesap when ETH need their support 😂
*
That guy is now worried about his own job. Chances are he's on the way out.
He had a tiff with Sir Alex when the club arranged a visit for Bellingham & family when they were trying to sign him. Sir Alex's approach got snubbed, and then the whole approach failed.

United have triggered the one year extension to Lindelof's contract. It will now expire in 2025 instead of 2024.

Sancho.

Dortmund in negotiations with United on a loan deal. Sancho wants the loan. As it stands, Sancho's relationship not just with the manager but the entire coaching staff is broken.

IMO if he's not homegrown, guarantee already sold long time ago..

But the biggest candidate of the "if not homegrown, already sold" line of reasoning..... Is Marcus Rashford.

var should intervene and call referee to watch video.. clearly possible foul if not one

It's our luck with VAR this season. We got one lucky decision against Wolves in the first game which the media made a mountain of of, and we're spending the rest of the season paying it off.

Johnny Evans got skinned for their second goal. Age showing but we don't have anyone else.
