I guess it's to free up the wage bill as DDG was one of the highest earner.

Otherwise difficult to have Mount, Højlund, Antony all in the same team
*
There is this theory going around fansites is that ETH received secret instruction from the higher ups to trim the wage bill. Doesn't reflect well on the financial reports. So list the players for the highest wages :

Ronaldo : Out
DDG : Out
Maguire : Transfer to West Ham rejected by player.
Rashford : Home grown mascot so excluded
Sancho : On the way out.
Varane : Rumoured to be in a rift.

Next one down, Casemiro is sweating. biggrin.gif

This is just morning conspiracy banter which I thought was cute to share.

Still don't want sack? Wait until drop to relegation zone?
*
Nope. I'd rather go relegation than another sacking.
At least relegation should speed up the Glazers out process.

Why still glazers, they spent not enough?
*
Glazers have not spent a cent.
Every cent the club spent is generated by the club. On the table of owner investment in the PL, Manchester United are bottom with zero. Plus Glazers put their debt on us and we are servicing the interest.

QUOTE(and85rew @ Dec 3 2023, 02:27 PM)
Totally agree
They simply did not give it 100%
Bruno Rashford were never world class
*
Bruno is world class. If he was at City, we'd be salivating at the prospect of him being at United.
Rashford is disgraceful last night. But every time he has a bad game, nobody calls him out. He's protected. Those ex-player pundits keep avoiding the players and bang on the manager.

Well, Rashford certainly doing his part to get the manager sacked.
Bruno gave him a free penalty last week for his confidence, and this is where it goes.

This whole thing can be traced back to Mourinho vs Pogba.
The club always chose player over manager. See how that turned out for us. Mourinho's football legacy rant against United players is already a classic. There has never been a club who so consistently chose the path of least resistance than Manchester United. Rangnick also said the dressing room needed to be cleared out. We prefer clearing out managers instead.

Maybe we should rebrand ourselves to Rashford FC or Sancho FC.

In other news Newcastle is considering signing DDG with Nick Pope's injury. Wouldn't that be something.

We haven't been an elite football club since Sir Alex left.

Think of our last great team. Our front 3 was Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez.

Today, Liverpool's fullback (Trent) has more goals than our front 3 (Rashford, Antony, Hojlund) combined in the PL.

Let’s the hunting begin! Cuz there’s news saying 2 players leaked the dressing room news to these reporters
*
Players have been leaking things to the media from the tenure of previous managers, so fans will know whom these players are.
Not difficult to pin point where the leaks are coming from. Looks like the virus has spread.

Club made the right move here. You can't stop these players without concrete proof, go after the media outlets publishing these stories instead.

Rashford is totally awful playing on the right, hardly track back and leaving AWB expose with 2 newcastle players, he is expecting Bruno and Amrabat to fill up the hole.

And yet ETH still protect him no matter what, next game he must be drop lah, no where ETH can convince other player if this keep going on. Even Antony how bad also he will still run back and help out the RB.

Rashford will lose this battle if Sir Rat back up ETH and clear up all the problematic player, if SAF manage to send off Beckham and Keane out, i won't surprise this would happen to Rashford, nobody is bigger than the club.
*
I don't think ETH is protecting him, but we have barely any options and keep trying players who don't work out.

Sancho was supposed to fix the right wing but self exiled hinself with bad attitude.
Greenwood can play there but club management don't want him near the first teamand sent him on loan.
Antony is out of form and contributes nothing offensively.
Pellestri is too green to start, better as a sub.
Bruno out right helps with distribution but no penetration, requires overlapping WB for width.
Now try Rashford who clearly has an attitude problem. It is a choice to not put in effort.

Nobody is taking up the chances handed to them.
Clear out this filthy lot of players. Now working to get the manager sacked so they can go back to enjoying the easy life.

talking about the problematic ex-player who left
Pogba - doping test fail, suspension over 4 years, he can kiss goodbye to his career for sure
Lingard - unable to find club after left N.Forest

"For Manchester United players who have left; see where they play, how they play. IF they play. That is football heritage"

If this is 50% of the team according to the media, then 50% is all we need right now.
We won't be winning the League, but at least the players will work.

Hojlund played quite well despite not scoring, doing the small things right.
The physicality, forcing the CBs back to create the pockets of space for the midfield players and the small runs he makes. Antony too, this was one of his better performances. Amrabat may well be MotM.

A world of difference to the Newcastle game where you have the team implementing the gameplan as one. Not most of the team pressing and one fella can't be bothered and leave the easy pass to bypass the press.

Next week we will most likely lose to Liverpool so media will start the sack ETH agenda again. Fed no doubt by certain players in the dressing room who want their easy life to continue.

For now, we are 3 points behind City. Strange no? With all the media noise around sacking the manager, you'd think we'd be in tenth which is Chelsea's position. Yet we don't see sack Poch dominating the headlines. Another thing to note which made me quite happy was that there were boos around Old Trafford amongst the cheers when Marcus Rashford came on. Hope that will wake him up that he no longer commands universal good graces among the fans. ETH can bench him for the season and I wouldn't have a problem with it in his current guise.

Every striker/CF that ever played for MU eg. Cantona, RvN, Cole, Yorke, V.Persie were constantly marked by defenders but they still can score.
*
The examples you provided were all under Sir Alex.

All the strikers that played for United after Sir Alex had the same problem. No service.
Even world class strikers like Cavani, Ibra, Cr7 found it difficult.

For those of you who didn't watch the game, go watch Amrabat on a player focus view.

Intercept, easy pass layoff. Tackle, easy pass layoff. Cover. Triangle passing option. Keeping things simple and tidy.

The players who are trying to sabotage the manager are learning one thing; it is hard to get your agenda across when you yourself don't play well or put in an effort for fans.
I hope we keep going with a team without those players at least for the short term, even if we lose.

The ETH out bandwagon should start again after Liverpool and Bayern.
Keep calm and trust the processs.

Ten Hag: I was warned not to take 'impossible' Man United job

Erik ten Hag said he was warned not to become Manchester United manager before taking over at Old Trafford, with people telling him it was an "impossible" job.

The Dutchman joined United from Ajax in the summer of 2022, becoming the sixth manager -- following David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick -- to attempt to emulate the success under Sir Alex Ferguson.

"Everyone was telling me, 'you can't succeed in that job,'" Ten Hag told the United We Stand fanzine, according to British media reports Thursday.

"They said it was impossible. Me? I wanted the challenge. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but it was such a great club with such a great fanbase."

Ten Hag enjoyed a successful first season, guiding the club back to the Champions League and winning the Carabao Cup.

However, the team is enduring a challenging second campaign, currently sitting sixth in the Premier League and bottom of their Champions League group with only an outside chance of making the knockout stage going into the final round of fixtures.

One of those who advised Ten Hag against taking the job at the 20-time English champions was former Man United and Netherlands manager Van Gaal.

"I think Ten Hag is a great coach; I said that multiple times," Van Gaal said in March 2022 when Ten Hag was a reported candidate for the United job.

"A great coach is good for Man United. But Man United is a commercial club. Those are difficult choices for a coach. As a coach, you should prefer a football club."

Man United beat Chelsea 2-1 on Wednesday, after which Ten Hag refuted suggestions the club was in crisis.

"Crisis? Not for us," Ten Hag said. "We are on a journey, we keep calm and believe in the process. We know what we have to build and we don't get distracted by criticism around us.

"I don't care about the noise. When we stick together, have the right attitude, we have the performances to collect points."

He putting Sancho Varane Casemiro up for sale, but why not Rashford?
*
Because Rashford has special status at the club.
Being academy home-grown and an England international at that, this is a decision which lies beyond the manager. This is club senior management/CEO level of conversation.

We like to think every player is equal. In reality it is not.
Selling Rashford will have implications on the image of the club, which then affects the commercials. And commercials is always number one.

It's like you are trying to fire a Datuk working in your company.

Last week doom & gloom talking about sackings.
This week awards galore.

Supporting Manchester United memang macam roller coaster.
