Wanna ask ktard here got experience with lexus is250 (xe20)?
My search for RM~30k car still ongoing
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=5384590&hl=

Lexus IS250 2006~2008 ok or not? Which year would be the best? Now confused whether got any different or not between these years.

From my research, things to look for:
1. Carbon buildup due to direct injection
2. Water pump failing
3. Sticky dashboard

Got any other issues to be concerned about?

Thanks
Dweller

Edit: Bought one 2009 Lexus Malaysia unit. Sekian smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

With that budget, you can easily tabao Axia. Why choose Lexus?

I also known someone who bought 15 years old Lexus so I really wonder why?

For that budget

Get 2007 W211 - No SBC Pump Problem, Reliable Engine and Gearbox , Plenty of Parts.

Or 2008-2010 W204

I would go for GS300. Same price.
It comes with ML audio.

IS250 interior is too narrow and no point getting a Lexus without ML.

I also plan to buy one with Mark and levinson. But never been inside any lexus car before. The difference of the sound system is significant?
Just checked on GS300. 3 liter. Road tax 2000++ sweat.gif

It's still a Toyota, not a 15 year old conti.
No need worry about maintenance

Nah. Top up a bit buy new myvi better.

If you like fun cars, buy golf gti MK5.

Else, if you like V6 engines, buy first gen mark X instead.
