Well at least that’s good for GX Bank. Managed to link it to Grab today; hope other basic services like DuitNow Scan and Receive functions be implemented within these few weeks.

How to link GX acc with grab?
*
There should be a banner or a “add account” function next to your GrabPay wallet in the Financial tab. Tried doing it yesterday but didn’t appeared, looks like it was only enabled today.

Officially no date is set for release, some in this forum speculate it would be released after Dec 3; but I wouldn’t have my hopes too high

later la

currently under pilot testing. and pending bnm approval to open card application.

gxbank didn't get/wait for full approval to do big bang launch. at least start small first with SA and app.

also good strategy to monitor health status of all their systems, operations, etc running stable.

once card open, expect other issues to come.
*
Yeah agreed, make sure that their savings account and app features is stable first. After that, they can allow DuitNow Scan and Receive features like the mainstream banks.

Okay...

Now I know which post gotten reported....

The Shariah thingy.... Well... Everyone knows banks is non shariah... Except Bank Islam, Muamalat, Al-Rajhi.... And all those Islamic branch of the ordinary bank (tiger, sotong, pb etc.)....

This one also very triggered one...

Come on...

GX bank don't really fall under shariah compliant digital bank.... So I'm telling truth
*
I’m so confused, so people are triggered that GX Bank is not Shariah compliant?

It’s a fact that GX Bank is regulated by the Financial Services Act 2013 and not its Islamic counterpart. Heck, it’s even stated on Bank Negara’s website.

https://www.bnm.gov.my/-/digital-bank-5-licences

If people are so concerned about GX Bank not being Shariah compliant, wait for Islamic digital banks owned by AEON and KAF; or go with the existing major banks’ Islamic banking division. If a financial institution Shariah compliance matters to the individual.

while i think it is okay to have shariah / non-shariah compliant ones, but i just think that the direction where we are heading to is wrong, or just incorrect.
*
I mean it’s free market economics, demand and supply baby. If there is demand for Islamic banking, the banks will supply it. As long as our conventional banking is excellent and competitive I honestly don’t mind.

Huh? Actually nowadays thing easily turn to become very sensitive. Long ago all bank also don't have this kind of shariah concept right? Then where the money can put? Why last time no issue and now all turn to become big issue? Makan issue also.... must see halal cert only can trust. Those roadside stall many no halal cert also, why no issue? Because of trust? If so, meant we can't trust anyone at all.

I think the concept of Islamic banking has existed for a while but only became mainstream quite recently. Regardless if you use conventional or Islamic banking; the banks would always have the last laugh.
