The latest member of the Proton car series, the Proton S70, has begun delivery, with 1,442 vehicles handed over to customers in January 2024.

Orders for this model currently exceed 8,000 vehicles, reflecting strong consumer anticipation and support.

The Proton S70 has also entered its first export market, with 15 units shipped to Brunei in January 2024.



Proton's most popular SUV, the Proton X50, continues to maintain its leadership position in Malaysia's market, selling 2,002 units in January and remaining the top choice in the B-segment SUV category.

The Proton Persona also holds strong, selling 1,846 units and securing the top spot in the B-segment sedan category.

The flagship Proton X90 continues to lead the D-segment SUV category, selling 365 units in January. Despite ceasing production, the Proton Exora remains popular, selling 203 units as a C-segment multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).




Following its impressive total sales of 70,184 units in 2023, the Proton Saga starts 2024 strongly with 6,129 units sold, reaffirming its enduring popularity and importance within Proton's product lineup.


This strong start to the year solidifies the Saga's position as a cornerstone of Proton's offerings and highlights its enduring influence in the Malaysian automotive industry.

As for the Proton Iriz, sales increased by 7% compared to December, with 523 units sold, while the Proton X70 sold 372 units.

Sounds good, but then when you hear Alza got 30,000 bookings one month after launch 🤷. Even Saga also got more than 10k one month after launch. Honda City also 10k one month after launch. So 8k is really....normal or even below par

wanna ask how is the petrol consumption on s70? izzit same like x50?

Less than 6l/100km for highway drive.

i come into conclusion, since the S70 is still new, all owner drove behave cz less than 1k km, 10k km, the FC is good. In X50 group, most owner already above 10k km, they drove as fast for acceleration and speed, gets higher FC. Few post in S70 in FB, he had good FC cz consistent drive 100-120kmh for long distance

really looks like a nice car. now i'm having second thoughts on why i didn't pick this car instead haha.
