WTF 8.5km/L is so bad lol. Sure ah? I heard others say normally around 11km/L which is still acceptable.

He drive jalan ampang so jam la, but still really really bad. Wapcar test Chery Omoda 5 also get 8.5km/l mixed driving. Probably a problem with Chinese engines, not really up to Japanese standards.

do remember, fuel efficiency will largely depends on acceleration too. many of my friends, drive not fast, but rough type. acceleration just hentam 4k rpm. then slow down. then another green traffic light, 4k rpm. lulz.

same goes on highway. got slow car infront, hentam 4k rpm increase speed to overtake. many people does not know, accelerate and decelerate is the most killer fc.

Can confirm for x70 petrol consumption is high but it’s as expected for a SUV. This S70 181hp I think fuel consumption should be around the same or slightly higher lo since this is a sedan and lighter also.

Yes and no. Both of them jointly developed the engine. Base design would be the same but certain parts and supplier are different. X50 for example is 10k service interval, while Volvo is 20k interval. Things like engine oil used is different. Whatever it is, seems like Geely acting like Xiaomi, marketing very powderful lots of buzzword features like what more efficient than VW DSG gearbox la. End of the day, real world fuel consumption is really bad compared to equivalent HRV 1.5 turbo.
