can recommend to me which model and brand pls
do i have to add another accs like relay smile.gif
*
Add relay is because out stock car bulb is 55/66w watt which our stock relay can stand the heat. While if you use 90/100w bulb on stock relay, the relay socket and wire will melt. So that why we need to change to 90/100w. If you get 55/60w bulb, you no need to put relay because it still acceptable for the stock relay.

A reliable brand bulb is such like PIAA, Philips, Osram, Hella and japan brand 'raybirg'. If normal halogen stock, Hella and osram is cheap while raybirg also need RM30+ eachh.. For PIAA, it need rm200++ per pair while philips is from 75-RM200++.. You google at garage sales, got a seller selling philips rally. It good and cheap.. But it need relay.

u change ur headlight bulb oledi? jpj tangkap bo? brighter?
*
Why JPJ wanna tangkap? it brighter and kill ur headlamp faster.. You very scare of JPJ meh?

QUOTE(Gilbert5107 @ Jan 9 2008, 12:38 AM)
true...i think i using 100/130 watt. very bright leh. rclxms.gif
i use relay too.. icon_rolleyes.gif
*
100/130 watt is too much.. Suggest you use 90/100 ceramic socket relay. If you still using 90/100 pvc socket, it might melt as well..
and, 100/130w bulb will kill your headlight reflector more faster..

sory
been missing a while
tied up at work

can pls explain a little on the wiring schematics?
where do ya'll install the relay?
what rating wires ya'll use?

at 130watts, the draw will be just under 11amps
most auto relays are 30amp relays (i think... hmm.gif pls correct me if im wrong)
what type of wires ya'll use?
where do ya'll tap off the wire to go to the relay coil?
where is it mounted?
can please elaborate?
thanks alot

Just tap the wiring from the battery. The 90/100w wiring is damn huge.. After put the 90/100 wiring kit, the stock socket we will leave it there.. We use the new socket from the wiring kit..

In other way, we call it 90/100w headlight wiring kit. if said relay, might confuse abit.. The wiring kit inside got contain 2 relays... Why we need to change relay? Because if we use 90/100w, the stock wiring and stock socket cannot stand the heat. The stock wiring is so tiny. So if need to change to better socket, and more huge wiring.. We still can use 50/60w bulb if using 90/100w headlight wiring kit.

hmm.gif where does the relay tap it coil current (the thing that switches the relay on and off) from? (i understand that the power comes from the battery) sweat.gif

Err.. Sorry bro.. Not really understand what you mean. Do you mean, where the 90/100 wiring relay get switch off and switch on? If yes, it from stock wiring.. I not sure after put 90/100w, the stock socket when plug in bulb still got light or not..

Bro.. I know how it get the signal..

The wiring goes like this..

Battery -> relay -> 90/100w wiring kit -> socket which plug into STOCK headlight socket -> 2 90/100w wiring socket -> 90/100 bulb.

It get the turn on and turn off signal from the stock socket. Because the 90/100w wiring kit got a socket need to plug into stock headlamp socket.

QUOTE(lj0000 @ Mar 11 2008, 02:15 AM)
any ideas what to mod on my headlight?  its getting old and dim liao, changing bulbs wont do much effect. and to change the whole assembly cost too much. budget 150

1. lamp booster - around 200
pros - brighter maybe, not hid
cons - hear that lamp life reduced

2. buy 2 china foglight - around 150
pros - fit on the lips, looks nice
cons - dunno bright enough or not at 55w

3 buy 1 hella spotlight around 150 http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=468300
pros - hella means bright
cons - oni 1 side

4. 1 pair bosch projector http://www.hid.com.my/index.php?ind=news&o...ow_single&ide=3
pros -
cons - dunno how bright, dunno how to mount.

what do u guys think?
*
1. no use, Maybe is your headlamp reflector going to die.
2. no use. I
3. Yes. Dun get hella foglight. get the hella driving lamp. The beam is wider and can use it to replace your stock headlight. I see the hella driving light at night and it awesome and bright.
4. Just mount it on the bumper while the beam, i dunno...

thanks for the info
5. get new set of headlamp at 400-500
pros = integrated look
cons = $$$$

whats the different between fog light and driving light and spot light?
besides hella, any other cheaper brand?
*
Hella Fog light, usually the beam is short and not wide. Just for Fog/rain purpose. While driving lamp, the beam, is longer and wider like headlamp..
