Anyway if anyone remember that old Sakura cafe at Jalan Imbi, it was first opened by Madam Kwan. She sold off then decided to open Madam Kwan

QUOTE(Daylight_walker @ Oct 12 2023, 10:56 AM) Well, the intended market is for halal patrons. They probably replace pork chop with chicken chop, I suppose. I have not eaten at Ding but that Thai-Chinese foodie, Ceddy recently promoted it on his X .This post has been edited by fongsk26: Oct 12 2023, 11:04 AM |

Maybe only TS feel surprise... when the restaurant never put HALAL means they don't get HALAL cert. The HALAL cert is not that simple this particular franchise get and others franchise don't get. It don't work that way... Besides generally who goes Mdm Kwan order beer??? TGI also served beer.

QUOTE(Capt. Marble @ Oct 12 2023, 08:35 AM) Actually T20 don't really bother. As long as the intention is not there to eat something that is non halal and know the food is prepared the halal way. Yes, many malays and muslims when in Europe and Americas don't care about halaal and haraam. Even students, normally from the less conservative leanings. If you travel a lot overseas, you knowlah... I had to request my company to stop asking me to entertain malaysian investors due to this, tak mahu subahat. |

Yup nice I believe the one in wine is not Chinese wine but black vinegar+shaoxing wine. This is a very popular cold dish on Shanghai. The other dish with similar taste profile is black earwood (black fungus) in the same concoction but added with some crushed garlic/Chinese parsley. This one is a fav with China ladies. |
