So Chilis, Roma etc is not halal certified as well since they served alcohols. Still those places flocked with Malays. And MAS? Halal? Since they serve alcohols as well?

I dont go Chilis and Roma, their food quality went downhill since many years ago. They can go flock there if they want.

MAS don’t cook their own food, Brahims did tongue.gif and now different suppliers are supplying. Serving alcoholic beverages is not the same as sourcing halal foods that were packed in secured trolleys ya tongue.gif

But if you look at MK’s reasons for not getting halal certs, it is cause they serve alcoholic beverages as one of the reasons. If it is a yardstick, then I guess all pubs, hotels restaurants, hotel buffet dinners (including Ramadan buffet, I think), and drinking areas are non halal, yet can see a lot of Malays still flock there. Confusing, right?
I think there are more to halal than alcoholic and pork. But it seems that Malay Muslims are only concerned about these 2, when referring to halal. I recall Halal also requires food handling hygiene etc…so by definition, all those roadsides Malay stall, sarungs are not really halal, though they do not serve alcohol or pork.

Well, the intended market is for halal patrons. They probably replace pork chop with chicken chop, I suppose. I have not eaten at Ding but that Thai-Chinese foodie, Ceddy recently promoted it on his X .

That's what it's called? I remember there is the cold chicken in wine and one with chili. I prefer the chili one. Yup nice

I believe the one in wine is not Chinese wine but black vinegar+shaoxing wine. This is a very popular cold dish on Shanghai. The other dish with similar taste profile is black earwood (black fungus) in the same concoction but added with some crushed garlic/Chinese parsley. This one is a fav with China ladies.

Empire subang punya dtf forced not to sell pork chop also
And that area majority is puak makan babi.
So it won’t affect nons ya
No makan babi good for health and halal.

What’s the diff actually? The Xiao Loong bao also contains pork plus their fried rice also has pork, not to mentioned they have pork dumplings etc…
Anyway, DTF nowadays is not as good as the old days. I remember their tea are in leaf form but now I think it is is sachet form. Also their Dang Ding tea taste has changed. Used to be more of like Jap green tea but now, taste like a little normal tea.
I seldom eat there now. Disappointed with the changes in quality.

Do people actually go there to drink beer?
*
No, alcoholic drinks are to accompany the food. If solely for drinking, most go to pubs or clubs. Some drink at home with friends.

Halal is just a tool to further oppress nons la.
U nons want Malay business?
Sure, pay up!
Like a form of Jiyza or something like that!

I don’t think so. No one is forced to go for halal certification. It is voluntary. But if you want to serve the Muslim patrons, then halal cert is an advantage
