Buy China cars you can only depends 90% luck as there is no long term data proof their cars is reliable, you can only put your trust in their warranty skim and hope they dont close down the shop within the warranty period. For me if really want go for China cars i will look for a better company in China, with strong sales/financial backup in it's motherland at least i dont worry about spare parts as i can still purchase from Taobao or some Chinese online e-platform in case of anything happen to the dealership in Malaysia.

Wow 11K not bad, is that including trade in? Spoke to a sales agent only quoted me 7k rebate lol

But similar boat. Will be getting a new car within the next 3 months and the PHEV just looks very interesting. But I'm not married to the idea, odds are I'll end up getting an ICE vehicle in the end.

if you want to get a PHEV car, please have the mindset to change new car when warranty ends due to :
- More parts, more repair -> High maintenance cost
- Battery eventually is a wear and tear item, regardless how you take care of it.
- Poor resale value, the longer you hold, the lower you get back.

No, as i dont consider hybrid for now.
For me either pure ICE or EV as hybrid need to worry both different components in one car.

nope.truly rebate price.but no free gift.but 11k is during ace automotive last weekend.now has come down to 10k.
yeah.really interesting .u get the best of both world.my daily travelling still within the ev range which is 96km .i dont mind to charge it daily and installing ac charger at home.
for long trip can use hev mode with petrol
still thinking to put booking or not.
but i just notice chery service is quite expensive.total 160k km milage service cost totalling rm11.4k.it's just a basic service.if i go for phev with so many complicated parts (unlisted in schedule),i bet cost gonna be freaking expensive.

haval now also has high rebate.the most i can get is 22k for gold interior

i dont mind about the battery as chery does provide free 1 to 1 replacement for battery health less than 70% .and also dont mind the resale value.

the parts is the most concerns me the most .gonna be expensive.eventho purchashing price cheap, maintainance is expensive.just happened to my current car ,proton.

I got mine from the ace automotive as well. they quoted me 10k discount for the tiggo 7 pro and 7k for the phev. Might need you to share your agent's number lol

Over the weekend I did some research into their service schedule and price too and generally they are much more expensive than their closest competitors. If Haval is giving a 22k rebate I don't see a good reason to go for Chery unless you just really like the design.

purchase 3 years old 2nd hand or wait a year or 2 for "new" old stock/pre reg units to lower your ownership cost
