I called my Perodua SA whom I bought mum's MYVI with.  She said no new car for Perodua this year !!

What a turn off as I & siblings need to replace my dad's old bezza.
*
But the Toyota SA told me there will be Yaris Cross this year after Perodua's Nexis come out first. But that was mentioned 2 months ago. Perodua salesmen usually are very tight lipped, also have a sales contact which we bought our car from.

Yaris cross is going to be more expensive than Yaris, dunno how is it compare with Vios.

Perodua model should be RM20-25k cheaper with a little bit less kits, I guess and hope
*
Only worry UMW/Sime Darby too greedy until petrol version become 109K and hybrid 124K.

That was before the test crash scandal.

There's a nice hole pricing from 95.5K to 130.9K that UMW stupidly didn't fill for so long. Honda has many sitting at this price range. Let's hope it's closer to the 100K mark because this Daihatsu based shouldn't be overly priced.

Yeah agreed,

Wonder how many launches lined up in 2025
*
I do think they might be targetting to come out around when RON95 subsidy is removed. The hybrid version will fly out of the window by boats especially if Perodua has a version of it.

My Toyota salesmen said early next year for Yaris Cross and Corolla Cross updated version end of this year probably due to not much bigger change needed to the production line for CC compared to YC (plus the scandal).

78 kW hp with 138Nm torque in 2024?

Seriously?

Engine Myvi/Alza la. The hybrid version has few more extra ponnies though.

So Brands like Ford and Hyundai has a better breathing space.  Sime has commitment or KPIs to meet when they are awarded with the distributorship for those brands, can't afford to let them die.  So the reverse strategy is to soften the impact TYT make LOL  tongue.gif
*
Those 2 brands don't really have head to head products to compete in the same space with Toyota especially Ford. They only have the pickup and SUV cum expensive pickup. Hyundai again looked like a failed brand in Malaysia. Their early push on EV seems to sizzled out already after the Chinese EVs came in.

Itu Automachi now mentioned September/October launch pula. I think it's possible because was told by a Toyota SA today, the bigger CC face-lift end of year or Q1 2025. So, sort of properly spaced out between them.

This month I see Aruz rabate higher to at RM3k. To clear stock.
*
Aruz basically eaten by Alza. Better just kill it off because Perodua production capacity already hit it's limit.

Isn't that a Malaysian number plate Yaris Cross? Unfortunately driven by an asshole. Maybe for commercial shooting?

yea.. I'm suprise

it look really mature compared to ATIVA and the size is appropriate B-segment
seeing the Yaris Cross.. better P2 offer that over Ativa  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Ativa is an overrated up market Axia frankly speaking.
*
Ativa is an A+ segment SUV. It was never marketed as B segment. JPJ suka suka put it into B segment.

Both Perodua and Toyota MY must have a super NDA letter signed by all their workers until nothing came out. Perodua especially never had a leak whatsoever.

Automachi *cakap* Yaris Cross has already gone through small scale production in Bukit Raja plant but has been further delayed together with the Vios Hybrid. Automachi like clickbait news but probably true on this one, for once.

Toyota SA said CC face-lift end of November, Yaris Cross is next year already. It does look like YC will be assembled in own Bukit Raja factory rather than in Rawang. I suspect the volume will be too high for Perodua to cope. The Bukit Raja plant had high unused capacity.

It is not logical because the more expensive variant should launch first hence Toyota should go ahead if really got stock.

More likely Corolla Cross EPB going ahead Q4 this year and Sime Darby want to avoid Yaris Cross launching in the same period
*
The YC will undoubtfully eat into the CC's market albeit the CC is slightly bigger in size but if there's a gap of RM25-30K, why not? YC looks better too.
Hence, Sime will make sure the bigger brother with bigger price tag sells first.
